Exclamation Help! Mysterious leak

I recently purchased and F150 SuperCrew and it has been driving like a champ. It's only used on the weekends when I need to move and haul things so it'll sit for a couple of days through the week. My driveway has a fairly steep incline and the other day I noticed that there was a leak under the front about where the axle is. The leak is about 4 in across and stretches down the driveway almost as if you had poured a cup of coffee on the ground (see pics) It has no odor that I can discern no real coloring but it does leave a mark on the concrete. I took it to get a couple of the fluids changed out afterwards and ask them to look for any signs of leakage. They said everything looked bone dry and the only thing that showed any signs of having leaked was a little bit around the radiator which was a little bit low but everything else was fine. Is there something else I'm missing?

Could very well be a coolant leak. Get the cooling system pressure tested.

o

But wouldn't it leak after running under pressure and not sitting at the end of 4 days?

What engine do you have? If someone has drilled the intercooler on an EcoBoost that's right where the water will drain. There might be a little bit of oil mixed in that would cause the staining.

Are you driving with the AC or Defrost on? The evaporator will leak the water off from condensation for a while after you shut it off.

I have not been using the air conditioner or the defrost. It does have a V8 ecoboost engine. I bought it at an auction from an Electric Co-op that was going under. It was the vp's truck so there shouldn't have been any modifications done to the company truck. That doesn't mean that there wasn't but it's unlikely.

for what its worth, my ecoboost had a leak similar to this one. rented a pressure tester and found the leak to be the water pump cover. went to ford, got a replacement, coolant, and a six pack. fixed in a couple hours and less than 140 bucks if i remember correctly. worth looking into.

SOLVED (possibly)

I took it to my mechanic and he also has an F150. He said mine was about the 5th one this month that had a mysterious leak. He found that the upper/lower radiator hoses have an O ring that's made of neoprene. As it cools, it leaks. He found that some stop leak is a cheap and easy away of fixing it or replacing the entire hose will also do it. I say possibly fixed to see if the stop leak holds. Hope this helps future owners!

You should not have used stop leak. You will now have recurring cooling system issues. Stop leak is for old beaters that you are trying to keep running without replacing leaky parts.
