Interesting topic i figured i'd bump it back to the top. Here's the question i had a 2007 F-150 Supercab 4X4 5.4 3V 4 speed Auto. with a 3.55 LS axle ran a best of a 16.65 at 83.23 MPH.I now have a 2010 F-150 Supercab 4X4 4.6 3V 6 speed Auto.with a 3.73 LS axle.Which would be faster the 2007 F-150 was bone stock and the 2010 is also?I will find out this year or next year for sure in the 1/4 mile at the same track.

Thanks Mark.

probably the 2010 with the nicely rated 4.6 and 6 speed will move better than the older version of 5.4 4 speed.

cool, excited about the results. stock 5.4 vs stock 2010 4.6 will be an easy winner. not happy to say that but you will big time enjoy the added power, gearing, and trans reduction! efficiency is king.

05crewzer,

You were right took the truck to the track Sunday with 700 miles on it only made one pass 16.257 at 84.89 mph the 4.6 really suprised me.

Later Mark.

Hopefully some day,i have to try to get a roll bar in my Mustang before i start with mods on the truck.I ran a best of a 11.27 at 122.73 mph and don' have a roll bar in it.The track where i raced my truck is going to have a 10.50 index class next year.I'm going to try and race the Mustang at a couple of those races next year. That's the big reason why i got the F-150 so i have something to tow the Mustang to the track with.

Thanks Mark.

True, but maybe a little extra couldnt hurt to help your towing.

So how are you going to get the mustang to mid 10's? thats not an easy task depending on how your making power.

I don't think i'll get 10.50's but i think with tunning and suspension adjustments 10.80's might be possible. When i ran the 11.27 at 122.73 mph all i did was let air out of the rear tires. That's the only thing i did that was different than when i drive it on the street and was running on 93 octane pump gas. It's all motor 466 ci.BBF with a C-4 transmission and 3.73 gears.

Later Mark.
