plus the 4.6 graph is on a different spectrum than the 5.4. n-e-way, i wouldnt care about that.
look at the fact he has a much better bottom end and you dont make your strong suite untill 4200 and 5 hp more doesnt help you catch up. 5 hp more doesnt jet you past!
2" taller tire, lower tq and 3.73 will not help. your 4x4 supercab prob ways as much as his 2wd crew. a transfer case and front axle will sooo offset your 110 lbs lighter engine. you should be worried.
I'm sorry the news that the 4.6L 3V makes more power and has a broader spread of power is such painful news but the dyno doesn't lie.

HI!... I looked around quickly on the web and from what I found a 2004 F-150 Crewcab, 4x2, 5.4L, auto has a curb weight of 4644LBS. A 2010 SuperCab, XLT, 4x4, 4.6L, has a curb weight 5385LBS. So there's almost a 750LB weight difference.
I agree that a 4.6L equipped with a 6-speed auto will have a advantage over a 5.4L with only a 4 speed auto. My 2007 Ranger has a 5-speed auto (5R55E). If you manually shift it, it will not give you the gear in between 1st and 2nd gear. So it shifts like a 4 speed auto with the same gearing. I tried this at the drag strip several times. The truck goes almost 1 second slower in the 1/4 mile with out using the benefit of the 5-speed.
As for the SUPERCHIP dyno #'s, if you notice they are using STD (Standard), not SAE which is the norm in recording dyno #'s. This will not effect the #'s between the 4.6L and the 5.4L but will enlarge the base dyno #'s slightly.

I find it very telling that the offers to race come from those who have a 17% displacement advantage AND who have spent a bunch of money on go fast mods and custom tunes! LOL! It would be hillarious if it were not so pitiful.
Can't we all just have cyber beer and agree to, well, to agree?
