Body Engineer Career

What are some good schools to go to, to become a Body Engineer for Ford Motor Co.? What will I need to become a Body Engineer? I was thinking of going to the University of Michigan. Does anybody have any information on what they actually do? I printed out some info from Ford's site. What is it like? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Not sure what direction to point you in if this is something that you wish to pursue.

I know that there are several folks in management that frequent our boards here at 150online and I think that'd be a great place to start.

They might be able to put you in touch with the right people such that you can ask these specific questions to 'someone in the know'.

Best of luck with everything... are you nearing graduation?

Stay in school as long as you possibly can... the real world sucks royal ***! Fail all the classes that you possibly can!

Wait a minute... get to college and then just make a good enough GPA to stay in school... change your major repeatedly thus putting yourself into the 10 year plan.

The real world sucks!!!!!!

I agree with that! You can't wait to get out of school and once you get out everything is great until you realize that the work environment (At big companies) sucks. It's like everybody is out to get you sometimes. Once you are no longer "Green", you will become bitter like the rest of us.

"You get up every morning
From your alarm clock's warning
Take the 8:15 into the city
There's a whistle up above
And people pushin', people shovin'
And the girls who try to look pretty

And if your train's on time
You can get to work by nine
And start your slaving job to get your pay
If you ever get annoyed
Look at me I'm self-employed
I love to work at nothing all day

The first bunch of years depending on what kind of work you will do, are kind of fun. But after you get settled in to the work world, it sucks.
