Exhaust is on the way :)

My Edelbrock Performer RPM cat-back is on the way, should be here Monday, I hope to install it Tuesday afternoon.

BTW PKRWUD, I'm coming after you if this thing sounds like crap on my I6!

That's fair. What do I get if you're happy with it?

Well, I'm very pleased with it. I suspect you will be too. It's not obnoxiously loud, but it sounds much better than stock.

Well if you can hear it at all, my dad's gonna hate it. Good thing it's not his truck anymore

Looking at the stainless / aluminized system I'm hoping it will be the last exhaust system I have to buy for it, at least for a very long time.

Some sound is good too. I kinda like my vehicles loud.

Okay, it's not gonna sound like that. lol.

It sounds beefier than stock at idle, but gets louder as you get on it. Sometimes I feel like it sounds like I'm trying a lot harder than I am. lol.

Not much does. I don't want it anywhere near that loud. A 6-cyl breathing through that same exhaust setup probably wouldn't sound too good.

If it's not loud enough, try the old ricer fix: punch some holes in the muffler with a large screwdriver.

That's what I'm trying to prevent! Did you see the pictures of my old muffler?

When we bought the truck in late 1999 or 2000, can't remember exactly, the muffler went south quickly, and the pipe rusted off prior to that. Dad was busy so he had me take it to the muffler shop. They asked me if I wanted a stock style muffler or something like what was on there. I asked him what was on it, he told me it had a glasspack. He said they were cheaper. So I had him put another one of those on it.

Now, a glasspack that is actually installed properly is quiet. It's the people who install them backwards that are obnoxious! Anyway, the muffler is intact, sorta, but the tailpipe south of it is long gone and the muffler is gonna go soon I imagine.

Here's what it looks like now.

It's here! I should get the chance to install it tomorrow. I'll also finish up my front bumper repaint and start work on the rear.

Now for the sad part. I called home to see if the package was delivered, and was told that as of an hour ago, it hadn't been. I logged onto UPS and found that it was delivered at 1, at the rear door. Upon checking, it wasn't at the rear door per say, rather they just left it in the middle of the driveway so I would run over it tonight when I come home in the dark.

Gotta love it

I just got home and opened this system, it is very pretty, certainly worth the money paid so far. I can see myself getting up pretty dang early in the morning to install this.
