Official Gun Thread! (Pictures)
Here is a few action shots and a video.
I bought the AK for my 18th birthday. I have taken it apart. i plan on ordering some tapco furniture and what not for it. it has a tapco trigger now that has reduced all slap. I have had three jams for a total of 2000 rounds. all of them were duds. i have to say, the AK has been a hell of a gun. My next will be a subcompact glock for concealment. Would like to get a DPMS AR soon also.

IIRC the Garand was about $650 but it was not in exactly as you see it. It came to me in a Arctic Birch stock but an original Walnut set of hand guard. I changed out the main stock to match when I could find a nearly matching (matching in both distress and looks) Walnut stock for it. I ended up purchasing two before I got the one I liked. And sold the other once done. I kept the Birch stock just in case. I think this particular one I got off of eBay for around $50. And it matches perfectly with that right patina. It has a few proof stamping and markings but nothing spectacular in that regard. It has a later but mint Marlin barrel on it. It is a 1945 according to its serial number and it is probably a danish return. I didn't get it from the CMP but it likely was from them at some point. Great shooter.
The Carbine is also a 1945 and I also got that from other than the CMP but I suspect also came from there. Again I got it cheaper due to the stock being an Arctic Birch replacement and I also shopped around and replaced that with a fairly correct Inland Walnut M2. The gun itself is a mixmaster but the base is a Quality Hardware with some Rockola and IBM parts inside. This one cost me $700 from a gunstore out in the midwest. The replacement stock I got from Reece Surplus for like $50 and I cleaned and reoiled it.
The Garand Bayonet is original and is also late war period correct. The Carbine bayonet is a later production, likely Korean war or later. The Helmet is also Late war period with a later replacement liner and the belt is later reproduction.
I used my C&R FFL to receive them directly at home so saved some money there.
from the ages and the existence of replacement stocks of foreign type of Birch that was commonly used to refit them, I am fairly certain these were lend lease returned guns used in the European theater and so would likely have seen action there. And from the ages I would expect them to have been there in the main push and market garden etc. The fact that they both likely ended up in the hands of the Danes after the war is fair evidence of that.

wow thats awesome Cphillip. i see lots of remakes of the M1 carbine go for 300-400 bucks. but anytime i see an M1 its 800+.
Thats why i like my nagants on sale for 89.99 all the time lol. mine is from 1937 all numbers match and its kind of dinged up but its 74 years old im sure it saw some actions would be awesome to know were these surplus rifles have been and what they have done.

Obviously the market of US War surplus firearms is a dying thing. They just aren't going to be around much longer. Sad to say the current administration is doing its best to keep a nice bunch of them from Korea from ever making it to the market that could relieve that. And many are doing their best to try and keep the non US ones out. Get em while you can I say. They should be a good investment.
yeah thought i heard there was going to be a huge shipment from asia to bring the price of M1's down to 300-500 bucks.
i dont get why a 1903 cost so much more than a nagant? they were both producted in the same numbers??

Here are some more
A Ruger Redhawk in 44 magnum with Leupold Scope and Holster rig

How about a 1911 in a military flight holster?

This is a Ruger Single Six in a replica of the "Duke Rig" which is a copy of the famous holster John Wayne used in most of his movies. It also has a set of fake Ivory grips on it like John used too but these are being allowed to yellow naturally.

This is a Colt Defender in a Rhome Desbien made pancake holster. This is actually my daily Concealed carry rig

A Sig Sauer P239 in 9mm... another great carry gun. Good German stuff too.
