Do it yourself - if you are capable of dropping a tranny pan, you can also drain the torque converter. All you have to do is remove the inspection cover at the bottom of the bell housing and turn the engine over till you see the drain plug.

Hey, you seem like you know your stuff so can you help me out? I own a 1999 Ford F-150 XLT 5.4L Triton Supercab 4x4 and i bought it from my father (he bought it straight from the dealer) and when he sold it to me i saw somewhere on the sticker it said "7700 package" or "7700 series" and i thought it was just a sespenison thing but now reading this i am wondering if it is the same trucks you guys are talking about. Also when ever i am parked next to my friends 99 f150 4x4 it just seems smaller, and i never knew why, so is there any way that i can find out if it is the 7700 series or not? thanks.

One thing to remember is that the '97-03 "7700" (I toss the F-250LD into this pot) used a different 7-lug wheel than the '04-08 8200 GVW trucks. The later wheels are 17 inch, the early were 16s. I have read but have not confirmed that the 16s will not fit over the brakes of the later trucks.

True I heard same thing about 16 inch wheels and the backspacing is different. My 20 inch Albas are off a 2007 7 lugger and they work great on my truck. I also recall that the 16 inch wheels use the 12mm lugs where the 17 inch wheels use the 14 mm lugs.

Hi guys,

Newbie to the forum as a member, but have surfed it for a few months and bought a truck based off the comments of this thread. It's an '03 7700 that's bi-fuel...runs CNG as well as gas. Best truck I've ever had. Strangely enough, it didn't come with a hitch receiver.

I've come across a smokin' deal for a factory 2010 F250/350 class V receiver, and was wondering if it might fit on my chassis. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

2000 f150 7700

When I picked up my used 2000 F150 7700 series I just needed a cheap truck to haul building material and get the fishing boat to the lake occasionally. The truck now has close to 380,000kms (roughly 236000 miles) and drives and tows like a dream, best $3800(CND) I ever spent!

I drive a 97 F-250 3-door Super cab 2wd 7700 badged as an F-250 (everybody ive met thinks it an F-150)
i have well over 108702 miles on it and use it to pull my 6000 lb 5-th wheel Travel Trailer with it pulls like a Dream on flat ground or in the hills and Mountains with never an issue the only issue ive found besides finding the 7 lug rims is tring to change the plugs on this 5.4 Triton gas engine luckly those dont get changed that often my next truck will be the 4x4 Diesel version

hey

I too have a 2001 f150 "7700" series. very strong truck for a 150.

first off the truck sits high as if it is lifted.I see That other one in this post sits just like it.
do they come from the factory jacked up already? and would buying a 2-3" lift be stupid be caused it may lower the truck instead?
I want to lift it 2-3" but really need to know if a 2-3" would do it or do i need to get a 5-6" to do any good?
