Who all locks their tailgate. Even with nothing in the bed of the truck.

Hey hey hey, listen to this, I was thinking the other day, and I dont know if some newer trucks do it or not, but it would be a good idea to put an electric lock on the tailgate. So if you push the auto lock on your remote button it would lock your tailgate also, and when you press the unlock on your remote it would unlock the tailgate. Does anyone else think this is a good idea, I mean if it hasn't been done.

Yes, I think it's a good idea. But if it was a dealer option for more money, I'd pass...I keep my toolbox back there under my soft tonneau cover, so I only lock it when I go down to Detroit for a game, other than that it's never locked.

Mine is always locked, cause it can be taken off in 30 seconds or less...I don't want it growing legs!

Mine is always locked. I also installed a hose clamp on the pass. side hinge to prevent easy removal.

I usually never lock the tailgate. Although I have a car alarm that will go off if anyone so much as bumps into my car.

I lock my hard cover when I have something in the back, like right at this moment. It overlaps the gate.

My '07 Screw has an lockable A.R.E. tonneau cover. It over-laps the tailgate, preventing the tailgate from being opened.
