If you want a class D which is smaller and more efficient thus less heat, I've seen the Sundown SAZ-1500d go for the same price as the amp you previously posted. This amp will allow you to wire your 4 ohm DVC down to 1 ohm, which means they will see 1000w from the amp. You will have to keep your gains down in order not to fry your subs but more power is better than less. Sundown's have a good rep in the car audio world and if you want to upgrade your subs in the future, you wouldn't have to upgrade your amp in most cases.
Keep in mind I have learned most of this from reading forums, sorry if I have said something incorrect

Thanks for the info man. I appreciate it. I know nothing about wiring up these amps and how much wattage I need...etc. I am trying to learn as much as possible. was that a new price or used on that amp?

New price. I don't remember the actual site right now but I'll look for you. You can use http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftec...er_wizard.asp# to help you with wiring. I'm asked the same questions you are when I was first looking into changing my system, now the great guys on here and diyma gave me some great answers
Edit: Found it haha, that was fast: http://www.woofersetc.com/p9255/SAZ1...-Amplifier.htm

Yea, sounds good. I'm undecided on subs because of mounting depth. I figure I'd make my box (or try to) and go from there. I'd like to fit regular subs, but I dunno if I can. I've seen some regular subs that are close to the shallow mount ones. I've heard the Pioneer Shallow subs sound better than the RF. Again, I don't know and thought I'd just pass along. I will say I have always been impressed with the Pioneer shallows! I'd personally like to fit some JLs under the seat...but again....don't know about the mounting depth. I figure I'd built it the best and biggest I can and that would give me room for more options. I'm probably gonna go with the Alpine MRP-M500 for my sub amp.---DirtySCREW

I will most likely add another 12 later on, but right now Im looking to make a nice thump on a budget, not win any competitions. and with limited time Im just gonna go with a shallow and only 1 so I KNOW it will fit no problem.
