Wow haven't updated this, I ended up getting the pioneer p3200bt for my head unit. I am now making my christmas list and will be most likely getting an amp and subs. I am going to do the speakers last, but possibly at the same time I do the subs depending on money. I did some research and found these

http://www.gooddeals18.com/product/P...etacpg=P3SD410

think 2 would sound good and fit good?

also I am undecided on an amp. I think I am just going to go with a 2 channel(correct for 2 subs?) for the subs.

any suggestions or comments feel free to leave them. I need input.

Thanks, JP

Those are the same subs i have...i think they sound great.....mine are in downfire boxes with a 500w 2channel Rockford amp bridged for power...i have a 400w Rockford 4channel for the front and rear Rockford door speakers....the head unit is a pioneer 4200dvd...i still need to do some fine tuning on amps but the system sounds awsome.....and it all fits under the backseat....

Not sure what each sub gets but the specs on the amp says 500w x1 @ 4ohms so in theory i guess they both get 500w? not sure how that works...

From my understanding if you have 500w x 1 AMP and you have 2 subs, each sub would be getting 250w (500/2) and if you have 3 subs about 167w (500/3) etc etc.---DirtySCREW

No, you don't NEED a 2 channel. Again, from my understanding, normally a Mono amp is more efficient. Just remember that whatever the RMS power is will be divided by how many subs you have. If you have a 1000w mono RMS amp and 2 subs, each sub will get 500w RMS...and your subs had better be able to handle the amps RMS load.---DirtySCREW

Your subs will hardly ever see full power, unless you have everything turned up 100% and it is a deep song. Really the only time that RMS power is actually used is when burping, otherwise it is just a quick hit here and there. My currently amplifier is rated at 9.1kWs @ 1ohm, and I am probably just going to put in 2 12s. I bought it figuring that I can upgrade to 4 12s later on if I want too. Just make sure all the settings are correct, and the subs and amp(s) should be fine.

so what size mono amp should I get for these 2 10s? max is 600 and rms is 300. I was thinking just a 500 or 600 watt. Oh and these are 4 ohm

Go with 600 or higher. If you go higher than 600, make sure to set your gain down

Why are you running it in 4Ohm? that amp you posted is only 125W when its 2 channels and 4 ohms.
