Intresting. Here is a pic of the parts assembled. This is from sawman over at f150forum. He ordered the parts from summit as well. I wonder if they sent you the wrong part? My parts are due in tommorow so I'll see what happens.

Why are there two sending units? Do you have two controllers or does the controller regulate two different fan input/outputs?

This is a setup another member is running. He has a Derale 16759 controller with a temp sender for the low setting and a seperate one for the high setting. He ordered the same flexlite and sunpro parts listed in this thread and his temp senders are 3/8's.

I've got to call painless in the morning. I was bench testing fans with controler and only one channel on controler works. Only one fan turns. Switched leads and other one works. Volt test showed 12.54v on red with black/yellow & .34v on red with black/green.

It happens. Hope they don't give me to much hassle replacing the brain.

My sunpro box says 7555 which matches the summit #?

it sure feels like its cross threading to me. I have a brass 3/8 fitting and it threads easy as pie into it.

Well not quite painless. Some pun intended. I have to send the brain in for them to test before he'll ship me a new one. Even though he agreed it sounded like a bad channel.

Doubt the turn around gets it back to me before Sunday when i could work on it, but i can hope.

My bad, I thought it was yours. I was trying to figure out that painless controller, if that was your setup.

My adaptor don't look like those. Mine stop at the nut. Those look to have extra metal after the hex area.

Here is mine

The funny thing is it came with two adaptors 1 with ??? to 1/4 and 1 with ??? to 3/8. The 3/8th one won't even fit into the end of the ??? to 1/4th one. Oh well I ordered a diff one and we'll see how that goes. Got to wait on controller anyway.

Speaking about the controller...

It was only $7 to overnight the controller to FW TX so i gave myself the best chance to get it back before this weekend.

I'll be home in a while and my summit package should be there. I'll see what it looks like. Hope you get your controller back quick!

Well my Sunpro parts are like yours Sugar rush. The one adapter that has a 1/4npt end is flared on the other end. Oh well the flexlite part has some meat to it. Gonna borrow a 3/8 npt tap and drill and tap the flexlite piece to accept the temp sender.

Remember that's soft alum you got there. Needs some meat to hold on.

The best bit size is something crazy like 37/64 i think, but most folks just use 9/16 bit and slap on some thread seal.

If i did it i'm sure i'd screw it up which means yours should be perfect.

Good luck and post pics as you might inspire me.

On a competely seperate note do you mind PM'ing your air box dims? Need to order supplies.
