Frustrated With Troyer's E-Fans And Their Services
Thankz for your detailed info MGDfan I just forwarded it to the shop where my truck sits since this morning. While we wait for a month or 2 before troyer finally decide to send the controllers, the shop is wiring the fan to the ignition; cause 2 thing has been happening since I wired the fans to a kill switch: 1, I either forget to turn the fans on and I overheat or I forget to turn them off so guess what my battery drains out. This has happened twice in 3 weeks and overheated countless time cause I keep forgetting to turn on the fans.
At first I thought troyer was a pain in the neck but now I'm starting to have a much lower opinion of him.
Aaawwwwwwwwww !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my fans done in 2006. Last month the relays melted after 6 years. (The burnt wire smell lasted a week in the truck
) Troyer sent me 2 new modern controllers and it's all good again.
I do have an issue though. The 2nd fan is wired to the A/C clutch and kicks off/on when I run the heater. I live in Michigan and don't need the 2nd fan running with the heater/defroster. It takes a bit to come to temp just for the primary and the backup running with the defroster makes it longer. How can I rewire this? A switch in-line maybe or can I just disconnect the green wire to the clutch and have the fan run on temp only?
Any help? Our 1st snow is set for Black Friday. Joy!

thundertrucker, I was in the same boat as you. I ended up adding a plug to that wire so in the winter I just unplug the A/C connection. Problem solved. I didn't even bother to plug it back in last summer and the A/C was cold enough for me.
I had the same problem with Troyer pulleys for 2009 f150 off idle power was gone with irratic idle. no check engine light but noticeable power loss. They wouldn't refund, so I also have a set for sale $100 obo I would never buy from them again, once I relized the also sold Dynatech I new I was in for trouble. I have spent thousands in performance items over the years, and these 2 companies have no business selling anything.
