I paid my deposit to hold one unit and the blackbird....

 

I don't think they are shipping yet. At least I haven't seen them "in stock". Pretty pricey as well. When you get yours, please post some pics of it "in action" plus your review! Thanks!

 

I was quoted 1450.00 for the unit, PAC bypass, and BlackBird....install is 200 bucks.

I think that is pretty darn good considering what you get.

GOT MY CHECK FROM START FARM TODAY....they gave me 990.00 after deductible for the HU, Ipod Interface and Install, and dash kit.

Not too bad.

I called Alpine yesterday, they said they did push the ship dates to April now.


I feel like the guys waiting on the tunes for the F150's....

Not really, the shop I am getting mine from is a top dealer, but was only allowed to order 5 on this first order. Mine is one of those 5. The big issue is that the new BlackBirds are going to be later than the HU.

My prediction based on my conversation with Alpine would be Mid April for delivery.

Does anyone know the differences between the W200 and the W205 other than then Blackbird docking?

There are a few differences, notably, the BB dock station, integrated Bluetooth

 

Hello! Can someone point me to good reading material about this unit?

I don't know what Black bird is and what it means for this unit, for example.

 

The BlackBird is Alpine's hand held portable GPS device..to make the 205 work with GPS, you plug it into the HU. In the past you would use a docking station...now the screen folds down then the HU becomes the dock station. Its really slick.

You should be able to find data on it at their website.
