I don't know. I haven't used mine in a little while but tomorrow I'll power it up and see what it shows.

i know this thread is some 2 and a half years old but the nav units will always be around. I got one just over a year ago and yesterday my unit told me there were softwre updates. I tried contacting Magellan in January for map updates via e-mail and they were no help at all. Does anyone know where I can get updated maps for the Magellan FD71 unit? If I recall correctly this is the unit made for Ford and Lincoln trucks, connected through the radio harness, attached at the top of the dash in the center above the radio bezel.

Look on their website for updates for the Roadmate 720. That is what is inside your housing.

I just bought one of these on and installed it on Wednesday. Works great except for locating a satelite every time I turn it on (well, the last 5 times I turned it on). It seems to be taking like 20-25 minutes to locate a satelite. Anyone else have this problem?

I just bought and installed one from Brandmotion last week and it works like a champ. Usually picks up satellites in a couple minutes. Not sure why yours would consistently take 20 minutes to locate the birds.

Even though it's an older Magellan 760 it suits my needs, looks factory and the price is right.

Check your unit out to see what version of firmware it is using. You may need to update it.

Software Version 6

Firmware Version 3.32
