Anyone in the Omaha Nebraska area?
How's everyone doing? I haven't been on here for ages. I was coming back to ask Ty the same question 05 did ha. Good to hear there not having any problems. I think I convinced the parents to buy a 2011 ford over dodge.
I do have another question though. Anyone complain about the 3.31 gears and towing heavy yet? I know the new 6 speed trans is spaced pretty good but I think getting a 3.55 would still be a better application for us, but it seems almost all the trucks has a 3.31 in it.
I was at Andersons Tuesday night and I was surprised to see some still have a manual t-case, figured when they did away with manual trans they would do away with manual everything.
BTW, I know its a couple weeks old, but I think UNL canceled because it was the first day back and people were traveling a lot. A kid got killed going back to Peru State a few years back so they are being extra cautious now. The roads out by my house back home were pretty nasty.

I have done one in a 2005 they are not that much different from the 2010s. There is really nothing to it, but it can get a little tough depending on how crazy you get with it.

If your doing a lot of towing I honestly would take the hit on fuel and go with the taller gear 3.55's are what I would go with out of the 2 if it were me.
I agree the 3.55's would be better, I doubt mileage is much of a difference between the two. I was just curious if anyone had any concerns. Say for instance if they found the perfect truck and it had 3.31's, if that alone would be a reason to not buy it
Well I finally did it! I signed up today for the Rider's Edge, a beginner motorcycle riding course at the Harley dealer right up the road from me. I've been wanting to ride for a long time, and now I finally decided to take a step towards it. It's not til the end of May, but I'm glad I signed up now.

Sold that one last fall. I have a 04 Honda Shadow 600 and a 04 Kawasaki Mean Streak, both cruisers, what kind of bike would you like to get?
Nope I would still get it, and if you found out later on that it was a dog towing some of your loads a re-gear is pretty affordable if you do it yourself and having them installed would end up being around $1200 so not terrible by any means.
Well I had a good morning. Walked out to my truck to head to school and found my mirror laying ten feet behind my truck and my fender and door scratched up and dented. Second time my trucks been a hit and run victim in a year and a half. I can't believe people forget how to drive in ice and snow in such little time in this damn town. The officer said there was over 40 accidents already at 8:30 in the morning.
I'm more or less worried about losing my sync controls and my steering wheel controls.

All I know is I need to learn to ride, do it safely, and most of all, have fun. I appreciate any advice you guys have.
The steering wheel controls can be done with a module, but the sync I doubt will carry over that is a ford specialty item that is integrated in the radio itself. If you want that then you will need to keep the stock radio I believe.

jump_n, I'm no motorcycle expert but I was in the same position as you when I was looking for a bike. I figured I should buy a 250 and learn on that and then upgrade. EVERYONE I talked to said bypass the 250 and just step up to a 500 or a 600.
If you have a lot of self-discipline I say get a 500 or 600.
