Krohbar did you get your truck back?

It has definitely been way hot, played 9 holes of golf last night, was not the most pleasant weather but it beats working, and the winter we just had It is supposed to cool off a bit this weekend, I am playing golf and fishing this weekend. Wife is busy so I get to play

Okay, tell me this, the dipchit from Woodhouse called me, said my truck is done. Said it's running fine "right now". He said thy wanted to keep it overnight, start everything and run it again tomorrow. Who the #%@& keeps a truck overnight for observation????

You'd be surprised at how things can change once you tear apart and engine that far, put it all back together and it's running beautifully. Return it to a customer only to have them call you up the very next day and have them chew your **** off because its running like crap. So if they've already had it this long - what is one more night to ensure you don't end up turning right around and bringing it back to them?? They already have it so its just a precationary step. In fact, they are just following the book procedures - I don't see that they are doing anything wrong at all. But in the end it's your choice -

Well, that may be, it's just "one more day". I'm really more in awe of how inefficient the whole process is, esp on the warranty co's part. It sat for days between inspections. That has been the most frustrating.

Oh yeah I hear ya - but believe me it's just as frustrating for us as the repair facility. Put yourself in the technicians shoes - most of my techs here have only 1 stall sometimes 2 to work out of. You work strictly off of commission. You have a torn-down truck taking up your work-area, not making the tech any money, waiting for a stupid inspector to finally show up. Trust me - in my position - I get to hear from both the customer AND the technicians!!! Talk about frustrating!

Its those extended warranty companies that also make the customer believe that it is 'Fords' fault or that we are an incompetent repair facility. I like the idea of having a warranty - but yes, the hoops that we have to jump through are getting rediculous these days.

Hope you get your truck back tomorrow and it's good to go from there!

Wife jackknifed it into my friends boat trailer... spare tire for the trailer is mounted up front, and my wife has to have the gate down to see the trailer... :/
She can get away with that with the jet ski trailer.

OH, JD...
