Yeah, we will see if the stuff makes it this far north. So far, far less teeth than the forecasters were saying.

but Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good 'Fiddy

Ahhhh, drift bustin' through the neighborhood! Not as dangerous as country road drift bustin', but still fun to make the first tracks.

Here are some pictures for you guys to enjoy. The snow got me out of having to go to work today!! Couldn't be more happier about that! But I can't even go anywhere. Can get out of my driveway but the gravel roads haven't been plowed yet and they are worse than my driveway is! Time to go fire up the Deere and start pushing some snow so when the roads are opened up I can be sure to get out of my driveway!

How do your tires like snow, Ty? I took my KM2's off and when back to my REVO's (32") for winter. Not stuck yet! Don't know how the muds would work with the snow and ice

The old F150 did a good job in the snow this weekend, had to pick up my in-laws, and kids and get them to my house for Christmas and then get them home again. Darn side streets are just plain ugly with drifting snow. Did not get out to my family's due to I-80 being closed.

You know I've been really impressed with them in the snow. I think I could've made it through that drift with a little bit of a run-at-it. The snow was really light but I just wanted to drive up to it to take a picture of how deep it was. I was driving on the gravel roads Friday after busting out of my driveway and basically mis-judged a drift from a T-intersection. I started to turn right and just sunk in and started spinning. I was like great, now I have to walk a 1/4 mile back home. Put it in Reverse - gave it some gas and she crawled right out of it! So she hasn't let me down yet either. I busted through some drifts that were big enough that the snow came up over my windshield and I lost all vision for like 2-3 seconds. That's kind've scary! But now the roads are open - and my driveway is open too. So no more fun for now....

So I've been thinking about trying to add a block heater to my F-150. Trying to reduce the initial idle warm-up time in the morning so I don't burn through as much fuel. And so if I go on a fire call for SW Fire my truck won't be 100% cold when I start it and start hammering on the gas to respond.

Does anyone have an suggestions as to where I should start looking or any personal experience in this area? I've heard just to get one from NAPA. Just wanted to see if anyone knows anything else first.

Get one that goes inline with the coolant lines. You install them between the heater core and the block. Put it in line so it is after the coolant as left the heater core.

These kind are a pump that heats up the coolant so the whole motor will get heat not just the block. Just make sure to unplug it before starting or you will blow the pump motor out and have to get a new heater.

And on a side note, I got to pull out my first smart car on christmas
