I've been staying busy just working, and trying to stay out of the heat. I haven't been on the motorcycle for over 3 weeks and it's killing me! Mostly my own fault though. Just need to get on it and go. I have to work the next 2 Saturdays but if anyone is up for riding on Sunday's let me know I'm game if the weather co-operates! Need to go one at least 1 poker run this year!

My bike has only been to work and back this year. Only one recreational ride, and that, my rear tire threw tread.

Did a quick search this is what I found:

08-18-02
MIL ON - P0506 AND/OR P0505 - HESITATION/LOSS OF RPM/DIFFICULTY STARTING/LOW IDLE RPM
SOME 2004-2006 4.6L F-150 (EXCLUDING HERITAGE), 2004-2006 5.4L F150 (EXCLUDING HERITAGE), 2006 5.4L MARK LT, 2005-2006 6.8L E-350/E-450 2005-2006 6.8L F-SUPER DUTY (F-250 TO F-550), 2006 6.8L F-53 MOTORHOME CHASSIS, 2006-2007 4.0L EXPLORER 4 DR, 2007 4.0L EXPLORER SPORT TRAC, 2006-2007 4.0L MOUNTAINEER, 2006 4.0L MUSTANG, 2006-2007 4.6L 3V EXPLORER/EXPLORER SPORT TRAC/MOUNTAINEER, 2006 4.6L 3V MUSTANG, 2005-2007 CROWN VIC/GRAND MARQUIS/TOWNCAR MAY EXHIHIT ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS: DRIVE-AWAY HESITATION LOSS OF RPM ON DECELERATION, DIFFICULTY STARTING, AND/OR IDLE RPM LESS THAN DESIRED. MIL MAY BE ILLUMINATED WITH DTCS P0506 AND/OR P0505. THESE CONDITIONS MAY APPEAR AFTER BATTERY DISCONNECT, DEAD BATTERY CONDITION, OR KAM RESET. THE SYMPTOMS MAY BE DUE TO ENGINE DEPOSITS IN THE THROTTLE LEADING TO AIRFLOW LESS THAN DESIRED.

Looks like there is an updated pcm calibration for this type of concern in reading the details in the tsb.

Hard to say. Could call up your service advisor and see if they had any reason to reflash it I guess while it was there. Usually don't reflash anything unless there is a specific reason too.

Yeah, if they flashed me, my tunes would be hosed? But I would have thought that they wouldn't have loaded either if it were flashed.

Going to put it back to stock, and clear it.

Cleared it, did the rabbit trick on the dash, RPMs are running about 676 at idle.

I will still clean stuff this weekend, probably a good idea. It did happen after I got gas last night too... lets see if it comes back today.

Time for a hayes manual for my truck.

hmm, my I've noticed my idle seems to be higher than usual. Normally I idle right around the 680 rpm range, now it's closer to 900. Having to stand on the brakes to keep it from moving ahead at red lights. turned AC off, didn't change anything. Time to do an intake /throttle body cleaning, iac change and maf cleaning soon I think.

Finally, a little relief from the heat, monday was crazy! Need to finally get off my **** and get my truck cleaned up. I have been looking at the 2011 F150's and continue to drool over the candy red FX4! What a sweet looking truck, hope they have some great incentives towards the end of the year and I can pick up a good deal.

Would any of you guys be interested in a used set of 35x12.50r17 pro comp a/t's? I got a set off a super duty that have been laying around my garage taking up space and I'd like to get rid of them. One is almost new, two are half worn and one is almost junk.

Well in about another week I will be moving to a farm so things have been hectic around here. I did manage to score a 250 gallon tank to use in a bbq pit smoker trailer that I am going to start building. So I now have my next big project laid out.

Congratulations! That's awesome - I might have a manure spreader for sale if interested. Pulled it with my tractor but don't have that anymore so....Good luck on the move!!
