Man black ice is never fun to deal with but good job on the three tow outs at least you never got hit, sounds like they came pretty close a couple times.

And this cold weather is just unrelenting, 11 today and 15 tomorrow, then it sounds like we should at least get to 30 after that hopefully.

It was kind of wierd. Never heard any of those other cars sliding or anything, just turn around, and "whoa, there's another one!"

Well I guess your just being to nice. It never stops once winter comes, no one likes to take their time on this stuff. You would think they would learn.

I get nervous if someone asks me to pull them out. I tore up a guys bumper once when I had my Ranger. He got kinda pissed but I warned him before hand and made him hook up the strap to his car.

I always tell them to hook up themselves and they had to accept that it wasn't my fault if something happened.

Well, all this snow cost me $140. Some snow got up in the engine compartment and shorted the coil pack on cylinder 7.

Boy this is the time off the year the body shops get busy. I was just by my local one the other day an seen a lot off damaged vehicles. With the icy streets an people driving to fast makes for a dangerous combination. The highways are fine its these residential an side streets that are treacherous. Sure felt better on Wednesday for sure. Not quite so bitter out there. Hope everyone is staying warm.

140 for a coil pack? dang that sounds pricey....mine are only like 40-45 at oreilly's online there even cheaper...about 10 bucks a pop, but of course the wait doesn't make sense when you need one asap

yep coils for our trucks are not cheap at all! And I am trying to stay warm but spending a good majority of my time outdoors makes it a little tougher.

Well it was too cold outside and I didn't want to be out there changing them. So, I took it in to have it replaced. It was a little expensive though. The coil pack was $70 by itself.

That's nothing - most coil packs OEM we sell to customers are at least $109 or more depending on the vehicle. I've seen OEM coils go for as much as $200 each!!

So I found my dream truck - if anyone wants to help me out to get me an x-mas present this year. This is what I want:

Ty's Dream Truck

I would sell my '01 in a heartbeat if I could. Drop a 351 in it and it would be good to go. That truck has so much personality compared to today's trucks.
