Just waiting to hear back from insurance to get started on it. A good friend of mine works at a body shop so its going there, he will do proabably all the work on it. Getting new fender flares, ditching the FX4 grill for either a StreetScene one or the factory honeycomb. Will probably end up with some type of stripe/s on the hood and tailgate.

Any thoughts on what color stripes? I would think of maybe some type of deep maroon color. Something maybe like what the super duty Harley's had?

Oh. I peeled my "sport 4x4" stickers off tonight. Drivers side was easy. Passenger side, unfortunately, looks like it had been clear coated over. Have a nice little ridge outline of the sticker on there. Can this just be buffed, or will this need sanded and repainted? Definately visible and easily palpated. I'll take a picture and post it in the detailing section and see what those boys think too.

Man Bartak that really sucks, hopefully you will have it back to "normal" condition soon.

Jump_n, worst case scenario is you will have to wet sand the ridge out of it with a little 1500 or probably 2000 would be better. Then polish the area because it will be marred from the sanding.

And sorry PCBC, I maybe mistaken but I do think your the only one from Iowa. Looks like you will have to go recruit some buddies

Wow - page 100 of our local thread!!

Say, what do you guys think I should use when trying to paint my frame in places where it has some surface rust showing? Does that Rustoleum stuff work? I believe it's stupposed to stop further rust and you can paint right over it? Anyone know or have any other recommendations?

Bartak - hope that the insurance hurries up so you can get your truck fixed soon. Sometimes, even though it sucks now, it's nice when things happen. Always the best time for upgrades!

Jump_N - Take some 2000 grit like 05_sprcrw said and use some water and wetsand the edges slightly with a hard block. Then take a buffer wheel and polish it up. Should be good to go.

I would just use a wire brush and knock off all loose grit I can. Then I would shoot it with Rustoleum and then depending on how long you want it to last you could shoot it with a clear as well. I have used Rustoleum on several projects it holds up well and does a good job of preventing rust.

And, I'm not so sure the Royals are playing in Nebraska after 2010...

They may not be, but they is a lot of talk about putting this new stadium 2-3 miles from my house. It will be interesting to see what they do.

Welcome aboard! You should make it out to our next get together. I think we were shooting for June 7th if I remember correctly.

Yes!!! Another new local victim! I mean...........member.......

I believe you are the first local member with a 2009 model F-150.
Do you have any plans as far as modifications go for it? Looks like you have some exhaust work done already?

Mahoney Park on June 7th is going to be our 2nd local F-150 get together. I believe we are going to try to grill up some food. Should be a good time. Hope you can make it! We'll keep posting updates as the date gets closer - keep a close eye on this thread. Glad you can be a part of it!

Hahaha..

Mahoney Park Sunday June 7th, got it. That should work for me. Has a time been picked yet?

I have a lot of plans for my truck…

So far I had 20% window tint added to the front windows, installed side window deflectors, had a Flowmaster 40 series SIDO Catback exhaust installed with chrome tips, installed an Airaid Cold Air Intake. I am waiting for SCT to release the new tuners for the 09’s. Hopefully within the next couple of months. They are not available yet.

Future Mods:
- Gryphon Tuner/Programmer
- BDS Suspension – 2” Front Level Kit or 2.5" Level Kit 3” rear block
- BDS Suspension - 6" Basic Lift
- Skyjacker - 4" add-a-leaf
- BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO 305/65R/18 – After 6” lift, 315/70R/18
- MOTO METAL 957 Gloss Black Machined
- Westin/Aries 3" Bull Bar w/Fog Lights
- Westin Nerf Bars
- Bushwacker Pocket Style Fender Flares
- Line -X Spray on Bed Liner
- Pioneer AVIC-Z3
- CompuStar P2W900FM-AS Alarm
- Hard Tonneau Cover
- Hood Deflectors

Etc... Etc... Etc...

Nice List!! I work at Anderson Ford in Lincoln and when you are ready for stuff, let me know. I can get most aftermarket stuff and will do my best to get you hooked up with as good of a deal as I can. Sometimes I can do pretty good, other times it's cheaper to get directly from a website online or whatnot. But I'm more than happy to try to help out. I looked through your album - looks like a nice truck! Since our last local meet everyone has done a fair share of new mods so everyone is looking forward to getting together again to show off what's been done.
