the first time ... Would you have put this back in your truck?
It didn't even spin true ... Took me another month to get
the correct one ... It's not surprising to me that a S/C that was
taken apart no longer works

That looks like an awesome improvement to me...

The 12.12@113.97on the stock blower it wasn't quite as hot but close. Maybee 87-90 degrees.
The 11.92 was done the first run sunday morning at FFW after my truck stayed at the track Saturday night. So that was a bone cold run, even though it was a hot day. There were a lot of witnesses that saw me leave my truck at the track Sat night.
My previous run that Sat late afternoon was a 11.97 @114.42 with a 1.66 60 foot time.

Don: I certainly d/k who or what is to blame for your blower problems but I have to say that you are behaving like a gentleman! If it was me, I'd be cussin' up a storm--LOL. I hope it all get's resolved in your favor. You have garnered my respect. Good luck!

This thread makes for some good reading, but I don't know who all the characters are....LOL.
I'm not sure which vender it is I should avoid...or should I just stick with the blower my new L comes with?
Is the blower manufacturer mentioned in the start of this thread in the habit of hosing customers???? Or did the company that put the blower in mess up the blower? And then of course that leads up to another question....who did put that thar blower in?
And then I started wondering if all you guys are friends and then something went wrong? Then all of a sudden out of nowhere comes a pic of a pulley looking like the spool off my weed eater that I think someone was sold as new....or Have I got that wrong too?
Maybe I should print out the whole thread and see if I can put this all together.
Rocks
But mostly I wanted to get in before the thread is closed.
OOPS...I'm out of popcorn!

following YOUR lead on how to respect customers and
friends. Recognize that quote above? It's from your
tirade against me back a few months.
And this is not a bash, just relating MY experiences. I have
waited for month's for some resolution to my problems from
you, but finally had to give up. Without Sal's gracious help,
I would still be caught between a rock and a hard place,
waiting for you to get the replacement stuff to me. Two
months of waiting for a pulley and not racing was very
troubling to me, and should have been to you. But I
understand that you felt you would never see that guy
from Kentucky again, so installing the wrong parts and
all that was just "bidness", right? After all, you had your
$4,000 already. You know the funniest part? Every other
tuner I talk to says that there aren't ANY parts in that
Stage I and II setup that are "go-fast" or HP parts. Go figure!
Maybe that's why I 'm only clocking 13.06, huh?
Thank God some of the vendors care more about the
Lightning owners than they do about themselves. I learned
more from Beefcake and Sal in one weekend than I did in the 6
months previous talking to you. Facts rather than "mumbo jumbo"
always sit better with me.
Cliff
PS... have a nice life ... I hope you get everything you deserve.

rscoleman,
I'd be willing to bet the moderator hasn't had the chance to see this thread yet.
I'm not real sure who is disrespecting who and I sure as heck don't know who's who here yet.
I just started checking out the L forum recently.
From seeing what happened to other threads that turned into a war....I'm willing to bet this one ain't long for the world, regardless of who's getting disrespected.
It is doing a good job of making me worry about the venders mentioned here...and some of the reps. that seem to be posting.
You guys are hurting yourselves(business wise) more than you may realize......JMHO.

I didn't start this thread to bash anyone except Magnuson. I even posted a appollogy to chris at works, I respect his work and what he did for me. You must have skipped over that. I have kept quiet about my problems since July, but when Magnuson wanted $832 to fix it I said thats enough.
As far as my next blower, it will be a whipple. Maybee I will get a top entry 140 with there boost bipass and make my own adaptor and intake. That way no matter if the results are good or bad, I will only have myself to praise or blame.
I just sent Doug a e-mail, asking him to close it. It has gone way further than I ever expected.

I hate to get in on a bad thread but.....
I have to express my feelings since I know alittle about this subject.
I know that Sal sent his blower back to be setup for the wipple cause I tried to buy the 112 for mine. I knew he was going to the wipple and I wanted the 112 for mine. Sal would have had no problem selling me his 112 for sure if he didnt need half of it for the wipple. Thats the plain and simple truth to that. He wanted to run 10's on just blower with JL & the NMRA finals. That was the goal. Alot of people dont have a clue what is going on with certain trucks, but I try to stay up to date with my tuner. There are some new things coming out soon that will show who is "TOP DOG" I promise you that.
The problem is this Don I hate to say it. You were promised a 166 for so long and you wanted to run faster so you bought the 112 and had WORKS ship it to JDM (Which they didnt want to do). Then you had it installed by someone that was not involved in the production of the unit and who was not familar with it. Did this cause the failure? Who knows for sure. I hate it happened to you but if you want to stick with JDM stuff I would only run his products if you only want them working on your truck. The 112 is a great unit, the first 3 or 4 have worked fine for along time. You got around the 6th or 7th one if I remember right. JDM has been good to you so if I was you I would rebuild it, sell it, go back to JDM only stuff with your stock blower, and add a NX kit. Jim & HD's truck have done good with NOS so he should easily be able to make your truck run with it. Im not flamming anything here, just trying to give you some options.
There is one truck around right now with a Works 112 running really low 11's at 18lbs of boost. Just wait till that one gets sprayed....
I feel for you Don, you have been through just about everything in trying to make your baby run.....

That first statement is pretty close to the truth ...
The pulley pic was a response to Easterisland, actually ... and
was a "replacement" for the one that had to be destroyed to
be removed.
