I should be able to a couple spacers made less expensive than that.

Can we get an update from all of those who decided to do some porting to their superchargers? I am in the process of porting out my upper plenum, but I may venture down into the charger itself if anyone found it to be worthwhile.

I still haven't finished up mine yet

Well the blower and the plenum is done, but the spacer and lower intake is not done. Unfortunately I don't have any before and after dyno's. I also don't have any good comparable before and after runs. I think there are links in this thread or if you search, 'bad as L' posted some info on his port job. But his consisted of more then mine.

chimshady1 also ported his:

Based on this thread, I made a 1.25" spacer (with a ~4.5 degree taper to angle the TB to about the same place as stock) out of wood, and installed it in over the holidays. Will make one out of high density plastic later if the wood starts to crack (doubt it though). Ths spacer fits fine, but I have a Harwood Cowl hood. No dyno numbers, but it just makes sense that a spacer helps the airflow around that 90 degree corner.

GoDogGo be careful using wood. It is porus, and you can actually pull a small amount of air through the end grain.

If you used birch plywood, you should be ok.
