There are no bugs in the Whipple. There have been issues related to tuning (fuel, maf) as would be the case with anyone running that much power whether by whipple, kb or nos. The whipple blower works great.

Talking I hope...

you have been taking pilot lessons Bill. YOU ARE GONNA NEED THEM!!! The first time you take the beast down the 1/4 mile....you won't wanna take your foot off the gas going through the traps. You will be like Forrest Gump scoring his first touchdown....You will just keep going ...LOL

See you at the Xmas party

Scott

I have heard the project is getting real close. I know they were hoping to debut it next weekend at Cecil, but looks like the weather ruined those plans.

Hey guys, I am still around and no, I do not have my truck back yet. As Don had pointed out we were hoping to debut the truck at Cecil on the 14th. I do not think that will happen now with all of the damn snow, but it still made me happy to think about it. I talked to Jim briefly today and it is being worked on. He said he would give me a call Monday so we could talk more. I will be going down either way next weekend because of the Christmas party. I will take as many picture as I can of the things that I feel you all will like to see. Justin sent me some pictures a while back and I posted them somewhere but since I didn't post them on this thread I will do so now. I really do appreciate all of the continued support that you have all given me through this project. I do have my days when I think about the truck a lot and sometime I get a little down for not having it back to race this season. But as long as it is just this one season and it comes out the way Jim told me it would, and I know it will, I will be fine. I know some of you will think, it is only a truck, but, you would be surprised at how much you can miss something. Anyway, on to the pictures that I have and if you have already seen them, sorry, I will have new ones around the 16th or so.
Thanks again for all the great comments, they do mean a lot.
Bill

After reading a post on the Corral, I'm really curious to see what people have to say about the possibility that this motor is really not real?

http://www.corral.net/forums/showthr...54#post1364154

The post, in part, states:

Look at the pics, Jim posted pictures of a bare supercharger with no working parts, pulley, or intake system resting on top of an '03 Cobra intake propped onto a Navigator longblock to make it look as if he had a supercharger kit done for the guy's vehicle. If you looked at the pics the narrow 4.6 manifold didn't even cover the ports,
There were going to be daily pictures posted to prove they were working on it but it has been months with nothing.

Does that hold any merit? I'm really curious to see it run!
