Johnny Lightning's. They are all easy, but hell with his, you dont even need to drill holes into the frame! Lines up with holes already there.

I second the JLP loop. Took about 5 minutes to install and was the best price out of all of them.

Our PSP loop is the same basic design as the JLP:

A few people here have nice pics of it installed.

Forgive my stupidity here.................but what advantages does a drive shaft loop give our trucks? I'm not too familiar with their use...sorry, I now seem that much more ignorant!

Yeah I would recommend the PSP one if you have custom exhaust, as it is a bit lower on the muffler side. Luckily my JLP is just about an inch away from my Magnaflow muffler.

Miami : The purpose they serve mainly has to do with running slicks at the track. If that driveshaft breaks, it can do some serious damage unless it has a loop to catch it.

You're right Jack, Johnny's loop is the easiest to install, but do you want the easiest to install or do you want a safe and effective loop, (Metco). I had JLP's loop on my truck, but I gave it away after seeing how well the Metco loop is designed, ease of installation doesn't even hold a candle to safety, just my 2 cents, John H.

Advantage

First off: a loop is required if you are running slicks or under 13 seconds at a drag strip.

Second: The reason it's required is if you break your driveshaft without a loop, you car will turn into a huge pogo stick and make a big mess of you and the street...

Not to start a flame fest, but please list the discrepancies in JLP's Driveshaft loop that make metco's more effective and safer? I can hardly fathom JLP or PSP making a loop that was unsafe...

When I was in college a guy (a mid 60's 'greaser') was racing up and down State Street in front of the Fieldhouse showing off on a warm night. His front u-joint broke just as he passed our balcony and the engine overreved and blew apart. He continued for about 100 yards before the front of his driveshaft hit a crack or pothole and lifted the rear end WAY in the air. He didn't go over, but it sure made a mess under his car! I still smile when when I think of the verbal bashing he took from the 'pin-heads'.

Never said JLP's or PSP's loops were "unsafe", I stated that Metco's was safer. I've had them both on my truck, have you? John H.
