After reading the post about "is it a real Lightning?".....it reminded me that I get a sick pleasure out of rolling up next to an F-150 XLT with 01' style L lights and the aftermarket Lightning front ground effects (lots of those trucks in Miami) and showing that person what a real Lightning can do. I know.....not everyone can sport the payments for the real thing....but respect comes with that tell-tale s/c whine!

Half the time the fakers are too embarrassed to even look over and acknowledge a true beast!!! Not to mention.....by the time they buy the fake ground effects, the lights, and the dual exhaust on the Lariat....they probably could've bought a used Lightning anyway. The only thing I can figure is that they wanted a rear seat. ??

 

Just yesterday I saw a red extended cab F150 with the SVT F150 tailgate emblem, "Lightning" front fender emblems, and some god awefull dual pipes hanging really low on the passanger's side, about where the real Lightning's exhaust exits. WTF? Im gonna start carrying the digital camera around and snap a pic of this thing! Some people............

 

Ha ha ha you guys just reminded me of some retard at the gas station today with mustang gt emblems on his v-6 mustang. I laughed my *** off when he pulled out and i heard that oh so mean v-6 roaring

 

Yeah, as you people mention it. Yesterday I saw a XLT with 99-00 style rims, and lightning badges. Then, down the same road like 2 minutes later, I spotted a regular F-150 with 01-02 style rims on it, with a trailer behind it. It was parked in someone's driveway, and the guys were cutting grass. It made me want to stop and let them know what a real L is all about...

I know exactly what you mean............there's too many of them out there.............I like and respect any nice looking truck, even with a Lightning bumper, rims, even ground effects.............AS LONG AS THEY DON'T HAVE THE BADGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY CAN'T THEY UNDERSTAND THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS MY ONLY PET PEAVE.

For the others... go back and read it, please, before bashing me in other posts. I bought a Lightning... I know what it is. My post was about taking a LIGHTNING, and turning it into something else with a new engine, new blower, etc...
I said nothing about making a "fake lightning".
You obviously know how to write, but, please learn how to read before you bash me.
