Question '03 Cobra Pulley Swap Question

Hey I know this may seem strange to you guys, but what pulley is a direct swap for our new 03's? I've got one on order, and have heard it's just the same as your L's pulleys... I've obviously never had to deal with this having my slow 01.

Thanks for the help...

A friend of mine just picked up his new sonic blue 03 Cobra and he met up with me this weekend and i sold him my stock upper lightning pulley which is good for 3-4 pounds of boost for that car!He had his car dynoed last week and it put down 360RWHP SAE corrected bone stock. These cars are very fast from a roll but from a deadstop they are no match for a decent modded L at the strip in stock form. The 03 Cobra will respond to mods much better than our L's will, the exhaust is a 21/4 bottleneck muffler and the upper pulley is 1/2 inch bigger than ours which leaves alot of HP to be made from both of those mods.My friends air-fuel curve was extremely rich at the 5000-6500rpms around 10.0 so there will alot more power to be found with a good tune,i see this car running mid 11's with slicks and a good driver very soon!

Just the upper pulley? Couldn't you change both of them? Will the blower handle 14PSI? 8+4 for the upper then 2 for lower?

Unlike the Lightning, the COBRA has a SINGLE belt setup. Not a double, so you can't change the lower cause it affects ALL the accesories.

Yes you can add a lower pulley to the 03 Cobra i believe he has one ordered from JDM already made for the new Cobra. The Cobra comes with Manley rods already so you can throw the boost to it and should be fine as long as your blower efficiency is still okay.

No lower pulley on an 03 Cobra. The blower runs off of the accessory serpentine belt. You can go with an ASP or Metco upper and it will add a couple pounds of extra boost.

Where do people keep getting this mis-information about the blower drive on the '03? IT HAS TWO BELTS! The blower belt does drive the alternator but a separate belt drives everything else. The lower pulley arrangement is almost identical to the L, right down to the spider...

A friend had one at the Mod Shootout over the weekend and I checked it out, must not have taken a close enough look. Confusion might be with the alternator in the mix.

Current 03 Cobra owners, Ford design engineers, and those who think they know everything about them, you can disregard the link. For all the misinformed and inexperienced 03 Cobra afficionado's like myself, here ya go.
