Smile

I have almost no imagination and didnt realise that I could use sepearate words so when I signed up ( Late 99 or Jan 00 ) I had ordered a Lightning but it hadnt come in yet so I was Silver_2000_Soon!
Silver Cause I ordered silver
2000 Cause it was a 2000
Soon cause it was coming soon and ( I had compiled a way to track the order )
and the cause I knew it would convert to a smilie and I couldnt wait for the damned truck to get here.....

Well in Feb 2000 the truck arrived and the old timers told me I had to change my name cause it wasnt soon any more so seeing how I have TONS of imagination I dropped the soon....

Did I lose anyone ?? LOL
Not a great story but its all I got .....
Doug

I picked up the name Lightning Boy my Freashman year. Kids at school had seen this bad *** truck running around the area and didn't kno who owned it. Then one day a group of people finially clicked that was dad was the one who owned it, and that was why I knew so much about them. Then after getting the limited edition Lightning jacket, they called me Lightning Boy. It stuck and I use it on here.

Ok some people get this right off the bat and some don't, but here it is.......
Some background info:
I fell in love with a neighbor's ‘87 Mustang GT when I was 16, I had to have one, but of course the money just wasn't there. So I was left drooling over it everyday until I joined the navy and moved away (then I didn’t have to see and hear it everyday).
I went through school in the navy for over 2 years, still drooling over every mustang I saw.
Finally in 93 I got my duty station and a pretty good pay raise (E-4 with BAQ and Com-Rats). The first thing I did was go to the ford lot.
By this time my "dream car" had evolved into a Notch back (or sedan as some call it) LX 5.0. And that is what I bought. My wife followed me home that day from the dealer and when we got there she ask, "Well, is it everything you dreamed?" to which I answered "Damn honey, it's Pure Ecstasy!". Later that night we were trying to come up with a personalized plate and she said "how bout 'lxtac', you know LX from the car and ta-c like ecstasy".
Every since I have used the screen name online for everything.

I sold my "dream car" a few months ago to get a 'nice' down payment on my new obsession: a Ford Lightning!
If all goes well I should Pick up mine in less than 2 weeks!!! I can’t wait!

Sorry for the long post.

A friend of mine who turned 40 before me told his wife that he would either have to go have an affair or buy a Harley. She said buy the Harley, it’s cheaper and no one else would have him any way. So he bought the Harley!

When I turned 40 I told my wife the same thing. But I would rather have a Lightning than a Harley. She accused me of just being a big kid and never growing up.

Yup… that’s me KidOver40.

She loves the Lightning.

Cool

The tag ladies came up with this one after all the names I wanted were already taken. I need to lose the frame as soon as I can get a decent replacement. I've been too busy bolting on parts to worry about unbolting that one.

lol, well, I opted for the uncreative name, but what usually happens when I race someone for the first time. If I win, they'll almost always want to race again, hence the name.. lol, I usually use "aloha ian" for other stuff, because I'm from the islands, and well my name is Ian, but I figured, should just keep it truck related

This is kind of a sappy story. When I was a small boy, I loved to read. One of my favorite books then was Go, Dog Go by P.D. Eastman. For some reason, that book really stirred my imagination. As I grew up, I forgot all about the book of course and graduated to other things, like girls. Anyway, when my kids were little, I rediscovered that book again and many memories of my youth flooded back. We read that book together many many times. Anyway, it seems like a good handle for a F150/Lightning site. If you notice, in the book those dogs do like to drive fast!!
