I'm a database (db) systems geek (with apparently no imagination for a better screen name )

My screenname was born the day I tried to install AOL on my computer right after polishing off a few 40oz Mickeys with my brother-in-law.

I thought. . ."Boy, I picked the wrong day to do this. . ."

Hence the name. . .

Later,

Graduated from Texas A&M University and as everyone probably already knows we are the Aggies. I thought about 1FASTAG, but thought this one would be more generic.

Zeus is of course the greek god who whips lightning bolts at people. The Lightning part is obviously what I drive.

Had my music picked out for the ride home upon acquiring my L at the dealer. AC/DC's Thunderstruck all the way home. Every vehicle that I beat/passed/raced, I would yell out "You've been thunderstruck!!", along with the song. It was insane. Emotions were flying. The truck was too cool. My buddy next to me was sailing in the excitement as well, but finally goes, "OK Zeus, settle down a bit over there," after an hour or so of that. Ever since, it stuck.

I'm in the process of creating a decal with Zeus's head a lightning bolt and the words "Zeus's Lightning Rod" around it. Then I gots to figure out where on the truck to put it without looking tacky.

Funny thing, everytime I look at this board I try to picture what
some of you may look like, your age, and what you may do for
a living.
I really figured Masterloggie was a logger or, possibly a timber
cruiser for a major lumber company, and that Chickenears owned
a Kentucky fried chiken restaurant. Damn, I missed.
Hey Masterloggie how long ago did you fly the 4's.
And Chickenears, I knew exactly what ears of corn are being of the "hilljack" gender of sort.
I was going to use my old handle, SPUD, which go back to my
days of hanging high steel but got confused while fillling out the
info when I originally signed on and put my given name in by
mistake,. Oh well, Mom would be proud of me for that...

Somebody else already had slowpoke. So I thought, "How does one get struck by lightning?" Lightningrod! Somebody already had that one, too. Well, to shorten the story a bit, I tried a few more obvious choices that were also taken. I've always liked western mythology so I started looking at the different groups of deities. I decided to go with the Norse gods because of their notoriously disfunctional and vengeful nature. "Thor's Hammer" was the obvious choice and I almost went that way. Then I remembered how screwed up Odin was when it came to his temper...."Odin's Wrath" was born. There is no easier way to get struck down than to tick off the leader of the norse gods. His wrath is manifested in the form of lightning and commonly accompanied with, his son Thor's, thunder.

Yeah, I know the reasoning is kinda cheesy; but, this all happened in the course of a few minutes and I still like the handle. So, I'm happy with it.

But I am feeling much better now.......
