Another case of SVT owner moronism....

Well, well, well!!!!!

One thing I am is PATIENT, very patient, but that day was annoying because it took them six hours to do a half hour job!!!

I don't like doing this fordtek, it really bothers me that people like you come here just to make points as to why Ford did what they did. I can say that my Lightning is in perfect shape and has no problems.

That is another thing that bothers me....why is the hell would you pull off the cab of the truck??? I recently helped a buddy of mine put in a LT1 donor engine in his 2000 S-10 Xtreme and all we did was pull of the front of the truck and it was very easy to remove the engine and access parts of the engine. I will guess that you will tell why you guys do that!!!

Well, a few things for that.

1.) I am done with racing.
2.) Torque converter problems. To tight from the factory.

And what the f@$k does that have to do with anything??

Even if I didn't race this truck before I would still be argueing with you because some techs for Ford just love to know nothing about these trucks but still call themselves SVT techs!!! That is what bothers people, and that is why the people who work on my truck, work on them everyday and have a lot of experience.

Free car wash my a$$!!!
First off, I never said I was an SVT tech. Actually there is no such thing, as far as I know.

Second, I'm sure your torque converter problem was always there before you went to racing, right?!

Um, we don't take the front of our trucks apart, because they are not chevy S10 Extremes. They don't come apart that way.

And why are you crying about a free car wash? That was for 2001 owners only...

But hey I guess it's tough making those truck payments, you need everything you can get, huh?

Know it all customers

Well maybe, just maybe the customer does "know it all" or more to the point - alot more than given credit for.
Did you ever stop to think Mr. Fordtek that some of your customers background may be as a ex/or still racecar mechanic that has worked on cars that you drool on. Or more to the point, you would not be allowed to touch with your greazy ****skinners.
Maybe, just maybe the "know it all customers", actually have some mechanical knowledge and remember they do drive their vehicle EVERYDAY and have come to know their vehicles quirks.
Remeber to Mr. Fordtek the customer you belittle is also the reason YOU HAVE A JOB.
The next time you see a customer, look at them as your reason for a job and not another pain in the a$$.
Remember YOUR in the SERVICE INDUSTRY
If you don't like it quit, start your own business. Then you can afford an SVT vehicle like us.

I was told once, "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT". Guess Ford doesn't teach that. Anyone who is naive enough to think they needed to take his truck out a second time can buy this bridge that I have for sale. Sounds like they owe you a couple of oil changes to me.

My reply is to the individual who said all SVT owners are dumb a$$es. Loose the chip dipstick.

Yeah, I guess you don't want any "LAUNDRY AIRED", since you sent me your VIN NUMBER and your name when you were asking for that WARRANTY motor you wanted, I'm sure you would like to keep things quiet now.

Oh jeez, you want to fight me now? You are crazy. Yeah, I might get what I ask for, but I might kick the crap out of you too.

I'll be at Cecil unfortunately, or I might have made a trip to the southside for you just to straighten this BS out once and for all.

Just for some info

Just for some info....I was an SVT authourized Tech at a Ford Dealership until i left earlier this year for a better paying job. It just consisted of some Specialized new model SVT training to familiarize you with the SVT vehicles "special" enhancements. You are suppose to be SVT certified to work on these vehicles...but that usually doesnt happen.

SVT? High Roller?

Redneck Ferrari

An SVT Vehicle? A $30,000 truck? Whoop dee! Don't even start a pissing fight about who can afford what. How old are you? My truck costs more than yours and I bought it MYSELF when I was 20. $8,000 left on the payments. Plus I bet I make more than you anyways

I turn 40 in 1 month. Do you want my address to send my birthday present?
I paid cash for my truck, payments are a bitch.
When did I say anything about "being a High Roller"?
Re-read the post, I never even mentioned you MisterPee

Superfords,

I'm not the one who threatened violence...It was you. I guess if you're the caliber of person that would try to use the info I trustingly gave you to wreak some vengence then there's nothing I can do. At this point I'm really over this little contest.. If you want to continue then it's up to you, without me. I've got my opinion of you as you have of me. Let's leave it at that! We can agree to disagree.

Not trying to get into it with you too, but since Undy already has me wound up, re-read the original post, once upon a time it was about an alignment with a questionable test drive. The event in question wasn't even at a Ford dealership. As for the second test drive thing, you too are mistaken, that is part of any good alignment (minus the extra mechanics of course ).

FISH ON!!

GED Tek'

Your incessant rambling only further illustrates that you have no incling of the knowledge this community has.

The majority of posters (and readers) here may not possess the technical savvy or 'skillset' of a greasy wrench wizard such as yourself however we USE this forum to share, learn, vent, and argue the finer aspects of our SVT F150 LIGHTNING. Please bear in mine there are a fine collection of true technicians that contribute with a much more postive attitude. You, sir, are in the minority here.

Anyone possessing the grey matter (seperate issue) utilizing this valuable RESOURCE is more often than not "in the know" regarding what the real issue is. For example, do you think the intercooler 'recall' would have occurred if it were not for the sharing of knowledge of fellow owners.

When/if we entrust our vehicles to the likes of a dealer, we expect the issue to be addressed correctly, the first time, end of story, thank you.

With that said, let's look at the issue at hand. If we bring in our alignment specs and the dealer has a problem with that, one if not two things happen:

1. Service writer and/or 'Tech' refuses to use the settings provided, CUSTOMER says 'fine', leaves, and locates a shop that will. Case closed. Pity you won't have the opportunity to plant your greasy, poor attitude keister in said vehicle for a joyride flog.... boo hoo

2. Dealership agrees to numbers and Tech aligns the vehicle according to 'the book' and flat lies as to the settings used.

Which shoe fits best?

No need for a gratis carwash here but thanks for asking.

Good day.

But hey I guess it's tough making those truck payments, you need everything you can get, huh?

Oh man!!!!! Hey bud, I have no problem making my truck payments!!!!!!

Then again, you might be able to afford one if you stop going to 7-eleven to pick yourself up a case a beer every night!!!!

Since you are making stupid accusations towards me, I will make some toward you.

First off, I never said I was an SVT tech. Actually there is no such thing, as far as I know.

You must not work for a Authorized SVT Dealer, because Certified SVT dealers have SVT technicians that have supposably went to SVT for technical training. So, Yes there is a position called a SVT Technician

Second, I'm sure your torque converter problem was always there before you went to racing, right?!

You right(one for Fordtek), it has always been like that, but didn't show until I was creeping up in the 12s. You can tell because my best 60' time was 1.90. On an idle launch, the truck would have a second and a half delay from the time the pedal hit the bottom of the floor and when the truck actually moves. Big givaway!!!

And why are you crying about a free car wash? That was for 2001 owners only...

Thats not what I was told.......I was told that if you bought any SVT vehicles, you were eligable for special services from Ford such as washes and special treatment.

I have only gotten that from one mechanic and we all know who that is!!!!
