Rich and Rob, I know the two of you have your issues with Dave McShane, and I'm sure there is a lot of behind the scenes info about the event that I don't know, and frankly, I don't care to know. What I do know, is that the event was advertised as the JDM/SVTPerformance Lightning Day. Even though JDM "sponsored" the event, the SVT site promoted it. No promotion, no event. The omly reason so many people showed up, was because they saw it on Dave's site. I'm not knocking JDM in any way, and I'm not saying he didn't deserve it, I'm just saying that the SVT site helped too.

Wow, this thread keeps going an going, just like the enegizer bunny.

Congrats to everyone that had good runs. I liked it for the oppurtunity to get together with everyone and chat...and prove that I could get to a resturant without a 15mi detour this time around.

lol

Thanks for a good time everyone involved,

Daniel

All I wanted to do was show that the times in the magazine were wrong. Of the 5 trucks listed in the shoot-out, they listed the shoot-out ET which was only one pass each, and they listed the best ET for each truck for the day. And mine was listed as a 12.37@108 but it was actually a 12.32 @ 113 mph.

Wow, miss a couple of days on the board and look what breaks out! I'm with the pawn, dinner after was awesome (except mrs. GalaxyEng missed out). I had a great time and politics and weather aside it was a great day for L owners to meet and race. Thanks to Jim and everyone else,Rob , who made it possible.

I can't understand why there are ANY negative comments regarding the event or the magazine article. It was a TOTALLY FREE day of racing at Jim D'Amore's expense. Am I the only one that noticed that our host was not pictured at all in the article? How many opportunities like this have come around for Lightning racers? I personally want to thank Jim again for the event and for giving me the experience of being "published". Thanks too, Jim for the help in making my truck competitive. This is not to say others did not have a "bit" part in making the event happen. Just that it was, as it should have been, Jim's day in the sun (or wind as the case may be).

Adesman,
I second your thoughts on wishing it could once again be like it used to be when we first got our awesome trucks. I REALLY enjoyed mine then. My how time have changed.
I too am glad you are stll out there. Misplace any keys lately?

Thumbs up

Just got my copy today. I was surprised to see that the coverage was that small in the issue. I wish I had been there, but a friend of mine was and saw it all first hand.

Spiro99SVT,
Can you please email me, I have some questions concerning that day. SIL00L@hotmail.com I loved the launch of your truck, it looks like it really hooked

Spiro,

"I agree the write up should have been better that we got, and it sounded like Evan planned it that way. But it changes with the stroke of a pen are your beginning to learn for yourself...LOL"
"Everyone knows that MR. JIM D'AMORE from JDM ENGINEERING out of FREEHOLD,NJ PAID and PROMOTED FOR THE WHOLE EVENT, Thank you."
"Remember...I was the one who Introduced it to all of you...I did set some of this up before I quit...so let's all get along...ok?"

"This has nothing to do with PSP or JDM"

L Bob,

"No one is taking any credit away from Jim at JDM Engineering out of Feehold, NJ. Not at all...It was a fun day for all. And also we need to thank DAVE McSHANE as well."

"Me and you were friends once, along with a few others here like Jim R. But for some reason you guys have chosen to go a different path with me. And who did you always call to HELP YOU at JDM? hmm...
You guys seem very bitter because I no longer work or deal with JDM... its really a shame
Let me ask you here in front of everyone, and hope you REPLY. Did the magazine post the wrong times for ma nd a few others? this has nothing to do with PSP or JDM...I just want to hear you reply here."

If you could sit back and take an un-biased look at your posts(not just the one quoted above), you would probably realize that it is you who is the bitter person. You have not been the same guy I met at WFC3 since your parting with JDM. I personally have nothing against you other than when I see you let your bad attitude out on these boards. You are making this sport less enjoyable for not only me, but many others on the board as well. I know you have a lot of supporters who will flame me for this response, but for your own mental health I wish you would put the JDM part of your life behind you and move on. It's water under the bridge at this point. Let's get back to having fun.
As for the times in the magazine, I've not see a copy yet other than what you posted which I can't really read. I don't keep copies of what others run anyway unless they are on the same timeslip as me, so I couldn't tell you if they are right or wrong. But, I at least appreciate being in there, even if my times might be wrong.
Like they say, "Even bad publicity is better than none at all", but you seem to know that quite well. By the way, what times did they post for ma? LOL
Thank you for posting the pics by the way.

As for other credit due:

Yes - Thanks too to Dave McShane@SVTPerformance.com for everything you've done for us

And lets not forget Steve@F150Online who regretably, we fail to acknowledge for his continued support of the Lightning community.

********************************************
And a SPECIAL THANKS to you Spiro for everything you've done for us including "Introducing Jim D'Amore and JDM Engineering" to the Lightning community. What you see as a curse, many others embrace and applaud.

L Bob,
Nevermind...I see how it is now. I do nothing but help you and anyone else out there, but you like to "twist thinggs around". Enjoy your L and your Life my old friend. I am still the same cool Spiro I was in the beginning. And JDM is not a curse.....replies like that are.

Take care
