Aug.'01 Muscle Mustangs issue !!!
Spiro- No harm meant. I just took it from your above post that Jim and MM&FF was stating that you weren't in the top 5 quickest trucks in the event. I just wanted to let you know that when you get the issue that you would be surprised that you were ranked 2nd in lowest ET with a picture of your L launching and a picture of you kneeling beside your L. Nice!

The cover picture is a ground level perspective shot taken behind the tree. You can see Dave M. and Amozon Rick. The other trucks I'm not sure about BUT it definitaly doesn't show all of the participants like I thought they would. All together it adds up to about 4 full pages.
GOT MY ISSUE TODAY
RobG,
I agree the write up should have been better that we got, and it sounded like Evan planned it that way. But it changes with the stroke of a pen
are your beginning to learn for yourself...LOL
Everyone knows that MR. JIM D'AMORE from JDM ENGINEERING out of FREEHOLD,NJ PAID and PROMOTED FOR THE WHOLE EVENT, Thank you.
Remember...I was the one who Introduced it to all of you...I did set some of this up before I quit...so let's all get along...ok?
Thanks
As for the Nitrous, I feel its the best bang for the buck, and see no need in upgrading TB's, meters,Convertors...etc..just stock parts baby
We all want the best times right...? Well...I do it EMPTY POCKETS STYLE
Brian,
what could I say to you?? Your one person I thought I knew and was more than helpful too, and for some reason likes to "push my buttons" every now and again, especially lately...LOL We all need that
Now what are you going to tell me if I say the times in the magazine are wrong?? huhh??
Just for fun...look up the results from that day here...and you may be surprised what you see
LOL

Spiro- Since I wasn't there then I can't comment on the times. I know that you had stated that you were held in the water box to long but I didn't know that the times were off in the magazine. If that in deed is true then I would be upset to. But I did think it was nice that you got a picture of you and your truck in MM&FF plus it clearly stated that you were running a PSP chip.
Also at the end of the article it stated that MM&FF was going to hold a Lightning shoot out of their own. That would be nice to see how everyone compares now since most chip tuners have updated their programs since the JDM event. If everything works out I might be able to attend myself!

RESULTS from March 23rd 2000 a little different that what was in the magazine for August of 01'. https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/010558.html
HANKFAN,
You said if you were me would you be a little upset? Check out the link above and see what was posted the night of the event here on F 150...when the event was fresh.
The write up good, and I was happy to see me and my wind-blown hair in the magazine, along with a really cool launch. But I really think that it should have been covered a little better for the amount of pages we had. There were plenty of other cool Lightnings there that should have made some photos as well...IMO

Comments like that really are not needed. I was not held in the water Brian, I was told I needed to go around and back into the water box Brian, when no one else had to. All this and more was covered, and the people that did that also appologised to me...!! SO lay-off MAN!! YOU WERE NOT THERE
Thank you
Spiro lay off what? Why are you getting up set? I just stated what you had told me, nothing more. Why is it that every post that has anything to do with you turns into some big argument? If you will take the time to re-read this entire thread you might see that I was trying to tell you that you might be surprised to see your truck in MM&FF and nothing more.

GATOR,
Good issue this month...they cover Christopher TITUS's Lightning
Very cool ride, love the flames, but they look lighter on the show.
TRAVIS,
The Magazine will not hit the news stands for another week or so. I usually get mine about a week before by subscribtion.
