It seems like we do one of these ever week now.

19, and I love my lightning. Paid for mine in cash before I even saw one in person, in fact the first time I ever saw a real one was at the auto show. I've test drove the rest and I love my L the best. Maybe once I get older in a few years I get a nice mercedes (I like that CLK with the AMG package in silver) or something comfortable, but I'll always have my L.

I am 22 and the wife is 21. The L is the 4th new vehicle we have owned, but by far the best so far.

Has anyone found a way to stop aging yet? That would be fun!!

Cool

I turned 34 three days ago. I have to admit that this is my first FORD purchase. I never really cared for fords, but no one makes a faster truck. I will give them a chance for a while but hearing about the clunk problem and the intercooler problem, their not making a good first impression..

Well, I'm about to be 20, I was about to purchase an '01 model, but the insurance was going to kill me. I decided to go with an '01 mustang gt. I also decided, that I need to work my way up in horsepower, instead of jumping from an '91 F150 with a 300 inline 6 to a lightning. I figure what the heck, I'll get the car, finance it, build up some credit. And, learn how to handle those extra pony's and in a few years jump into a lighting. Besides, I can do more mods. to the mustang and get close to the same horsepower (more learning) so I can know what it's like to have that much power at my control .

I am 24 and waited on my lightning from the time I ordered it on 8/21/99 until I finally got it on 9/28/00. Seemed like an eternity but I finally got it. Can't wait until the warranty runs out so that I can start adding some mods. In the mean time, I will just chat away on these message boards and learn from other Lightning owners about the lastest and greatest products.

Cool

42 and getting younger every day with this truck!
A friend of mine told his wife that he was suffering from mid life crisis and would either have to buy a Harley or have an affair. Figured the Harley was cheaper.
I told my wife the story. But I was happy with our marriage and would really rather have an L than a HD. She agreed that was a reasonable argument.
I currently own 4 Ford pickups, but this is my first 2wd.

Well actualy it is getting real good prices on them. I race cars on a touring series, and have car company's both ford and chevy that sponsor me. So I pay little to nothing for the cars. And on the Roush, I bought a wreacked one and fixed it. It turned out to be and awsome car, I hope to get a pic of it real soon. And the dualy, I use it to haul my show car to race tracks. But I am realy waiting on my Lightning, I think it is going to be the most awsome thing I have to drive, besides my race car, and I am trading that slow a$$ extream for the "L". Check out my website to see my race cars.
