I'm 33 years old, an electrician at the Michigan Truck Plant (assembly Expeditions and Navigators) Only been doing this for 4 years started on the line throwing sheet metal on the old Broncos and made the apprentice list. Never thought I'd wind up a factory rat. Overtimes been good for a while now with the sport ute craze but these gas prices aren't the best news for us.
I got a associates degree in Drafting was going to go into Engineering. Had a few jobs (entry level white collar stuff) and decided I'd rather get a little dirty and not deal with office political crap.
I have been a toyaholic since before I had a drivers license. Now some O.T. and I get carried away.
Curent toys are:
-'68 Plymouth Satellite (600+ hp) no motor in it now should go real low 10's
-'79 Bronco built up 460 all 1 ton drive train 44" tires (messy toy)
-class 2 off road mirage chassis dune buggy you can jump it like the Duke boys and not break any thing
-800cc Intruder Motorcycle (so I can live out my Fonzie fantasies from when I was little)
-600cc Artic Cat Snowmobile tweaked (you can find me in the upper pennisula from Chrismas til March)
-'00 f150 4x4 wife drives it/ toy hauler
-'93 Mustang LX 5.0 just a beater 190,000 miles on but clean and runs like a top

I raced roundyround at the local short track for about seven years alot of fun but got burned out trying to keep it in one piece. I've ran the local Demolition derby since high school this is my first year of retirement from the smash'em up thing. It is the biggest derby in the state usually over 300 cars. I won it twice went to the finals seven years in a row. Was alot of fun but am burned out with it too.

As you can see I'm too obsessive about the toys to have any extra money. But I work alot and figured I'd have fun now while I still can.

I am a first time reply. I just adopted my 00 Black Bolt 26 May (born 04/12). I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination. I am a mechanical engineer for the US Navy (federal employee, PLEASE keep paying your taxes!!!). I am 38, single and a severe motorhead. I also possess a '95 CORVETTE 6-speed, original owner. I have had a '88 Stang GT Hatch, '90 25th anniversary Stang Conv. (Emerald Green w/ white top and white leather interior w/ GT 16-spoke rims), '94 Stang GT conv., '72 Dodge Charger w/ Rallye Pack and 400 Magnum, '64 Bug Conv., '87 Merkur XR4Ti and '86 Honda Civic Si. Can hardly wait to upgrade the Bolt!!!

Dorgun1, it's good to see there are those who appreciate their motorcycles. I have a 96 VMAX with an extra 15 ponies and until I found a black 00 Lightning, I was searching for something that gave me that same visceral, snarling acceleration. Never thought it would be a truck though. Great bike, great truck. And what an incredible resource this forum is! It would be wonderful if it could be organized into topics as opposed to message titles. Perhaps someday.

Bone stock 2000 Black L (waiting for the best mods to float to the top of the heap)

Great thread, I cant believe I missed this one. Well, Im 28 not married. I basically do what all other Greeks do, we own restaurants..lol Up until a few days ago the L was my daily driver. That ended when I seen my odometer hit 22k, I have only had this L since August 15th. So I found myself a nice VW Jetta for a daily driver. And there's also a 87 Mustang coupe in my garage, with what I originally Emptied My Pockets.Cant begin to think how much I have invested in it.

Hello all,

I'm a 34 year old aircraft mechanic/inspector for a corporate flight department. I wouldn't say I am wealthy as far as money is concerned, but my wife and I are happy. I have my black L and my wife drives a black 97.5 Buick Regal GS. I also have a 96 Polaris 400 Sport ATV (FOR SALE).

Later,
Jake...

I'm 42 and am financially comfortable, but not rich. I retired as a Senior Chief from the US Navy 4 years ago and now I'm up to my neck in Java developing internet applications. Lots of fun. In financial terms, my wife and I are DINKS (Dual Income No Kids). Most of our money gets poured into a hole in the ground here in NC we call a house. I've always wanted a hot rod to tinker around with. The L gets me a hot rod that hauls. Can't beat that.

I am a mechanical engineering co-op at MTD Products out of Cleveland, OH. I attend school at GMI (General Motors Institute) which has now been re-named Kettering University. Excellent school, but financially drains my addiction to cars. I have a red '99 Lightning, and also have a black '93 Cobra that just sits in storage. It is a fun car, but the truck gets too many looks and is more fun on the street.

22 year old Drivability tech for Ron Carter Ford. I've always had a Ford ever since I was 13 w/ an 84 Mustang that I did a full 351w EFI conversion, then on to a Vorteched 93 Lightning. Now I have no life other than my White 99L and my 91 Mustang. I just got my Mustang running w/ a 393 stroked 351w with an SQ-trim Vortech hopeing to run high 10's w/ full accessories and street legal. Im trying all I can do to leave my Lightning alone but its way to hard.....like every one else on the board knows
