Silver-Y2K-SVT, that was the best post I've seen in a long time. Congratulations on your success!

Nothing interesting here, I'm a body shop Service Advisor/Insurance Coordinator at a Ford/Dodge dealership in Louisiana.

Sitting at home on Friday night on codeine ... just got my 4 wisdom teeth pulled.

Very interesting thread, not as exciting as the chip wars, but still an interesting thread.

Silver_Y2K-SVT, we have toget together, I grew up on Forest Avenue, down from the main school in Milford, I live in Maineville now.

Well, for the other questions, my name says it all, I work at the Ford Sharonville Transmission Plant where all your transmissions are from, so as far as drivetrain questions go I can ussually help and I get to play with the neatest toys at work.
I owrk a ton of hours, but the pay is better than the average Wendy's so i can't complain.

As for other cars, The wife has a 2000 Explorer Sport, I have a '65 Mustang, a 51 F-1 Pickup and I have search out for a Cobra R but I don't expect much to come from it, I doubt I'll get A Plan on it, anyway and I just won't pay sticker. The 'stang is restorable, but is a project, the '51, I bought when I was 17 years old (1981) for $200 and I swore for 17 years it would be ready "next summer" before it finally was. My dad and I finally quit working on it last year, It's finished (promise), and I've turned down a cash offer of $25,000 for it, so I guess it looks okay.
I'm an engine guy, been building them since long before I was old enough to drive, I'm second generation Ford so I grew up that way. To give you an idea, I had the engine out of the Lightning before the first oil change, I had a few "things" I wanted to tweak on it. Wife thinks I'm crazy....

Up until 6/9/00 I was a manager at a Ford dealership. I quit. Looking for something different to do with the remaining years of my life.

Before auto sales, I worked on a PhD at UCLA in Near Eastern Cultures and Languages, taught an ancient Greek language and archaeology in a theology school During this period, I was also a middle eastern archaeologist working in both Israel and Egypt.

This phase of my life seems to be wanting to do nothing but add mods to my L.

BBQ!

NO Voltage through those electrodes! At times I would love to though!!!! Actually, it really helps them to see what is going on up there (some of them could be flatliner cases....)

Voltage.....hmmmmmm.....if I was to reverse the transmorgifier into the giggleplux...I could......ZZZZZZZZTTTTT!

Finally found some time to read back on some posts. Cool thread!

30 yrs old, married for 2 yrs now. Work as a sales consultant for US West. um.. income... hummm..... well I acutally make a good paycheck, people's jaws drop when they hear what I make. the top sellers make great money, some pull in a 3 figure income. My wife works for CSK (Checker, Schucks & Cragen auto store) as a compter operator @ their main office, she also makes a good income.
We just bought a 2400 sq ft house in Cave Creek, way into stereo equipment: 60' toshiba tv-dvd plyr-nice spkrs etc..., all stainless steel appliances blah blah blah, wife drives 01 Pathfinder. Live a comfortable life, but still I get yelled at for throwing the money into my truck.

Well I am 21 and a full time student that still is single, thank God.

I kind of came into a little money which made it possible to invest. So through that I have aquired:
1. 2000 Red Lightning
2. 2000 Pewter Camaro Z28
3. 1985 Ford Bronco 4x4 with way too many mods to list
4. 1974 Harley Davidson Sportser that is currently being restored, to match my L
5. 1971 Ford Boss 351 Mustang
6. 2000 Polaris Scramblr 500 4x4

I am proud to say that living at home, investing in the market and working for America Online is where it is at, for now.

Eric
