Smaller wires actually increase resistance and increases the heat of of the wires. You cannot have too big of a wire. Larger wires also help to decrease voltage drop. Lower voltage will increase the amp draw of the motor.

You must have read my post wrong because I said the same thing except for having too big a wire. You can have too big of a wire though if you are carrying it longer distances when you are talking about a 12v system. If you are talking household 120 current, yeah, you are mostly right.

We do heating and AC...so yeah...I think mostly in terms of alternating current. It is also one of those nights I couldn't get to sleep and right about now I am experiencing severe brain farts.

I posted the wrong wire sizes to amp draws a couple posts back. I had to edit my post. Evo is correct on the recomended sizes.

So you are basing a one time transaction that occurred several years to there customer service now.... your a smart one...

This is why people that support JDM stick up for them.. The majority of people that have had problems with JDM in the PAST do not see how much JDM has changed over the years and are still stuck on that one issue. You can not compare the operations/structure of the company in the past to what they are now...they have drastically changed.

Oh and Calightning.. the Jim cheerleading picture.. yeah it was funny a long time ago...time for a change buddy...

My alarm is going to go off in 2 hours. Maybe evryone could quit making so much noise on this thread so I can get a couple quick hours of sleep before I go to work... .

Maybe Doug should have closed this thread when Jim 3 mentioned it. The problem was over about 70 posts ago .

So JDM improved thier product...thats a bad thing how? IF your original one is inferior, ugrade the individual wires...the hard part is done.
I don't have a problem with doing that. What I do have a problem with is JDM telling me it's a install problem (my fault not there's). They would never admit the wires were to thin, just kept telling me the kit was installed wrong.

Hey everyone, this is Jay. I just wanted to introduce myself. I having been working at JDM for about a month now.

Cliff, I tried to email a response to your fan problem when you originally sent it but it would not go through, I could email to anyone else, but for some reason emails to you would not work. I tried it again this morning and got this as a response:

Cliff, I also tried looking up you phone number in our system with no luck. So I couldn't even call you. I was just kind of hoping you would call because I had no way of contacting you. Im sorry about the email problem, I don't know what is causing it.

The reason for the problem is in the message

550-67.18.45.2 blocked by blacklist.sequoia.ops.asp.att.net.
550 Blocked for abuse. Please contact the administrator of your ISP or sending mail service.
Your email is being blocked because it was added to a blacklist by ATT - black lists are used to block spam - the mail server your email came from was added to a blacklist - more info here http://www.free-n-easy.net/bounced.html

Cliff - you might NOT be getting other mail as well

It appears from this and other threads that the best way to resolve JDM issues or get answers concerning products that JDM offers is to call them. Perhaps JDM should consider removing their e-mail system so they can properly communicate with all of their current or potential customers...

As silver said, it is Cliffs email system that is blocking my email to him. Also, some matters are better settled on the phone and some are suitable for email.

WTF is that gonna solve??? JDM communicates just fine with there customers.. like i said in a previous post in this thread.. when i was at JDM last week the phones were ringing off the hook.. ill tell you that they have more calls in 1 minute then they have people working there.. maybe JDM should continue to do business the way that they are doing so at this moment and time, because in my eyes, i see nothing wrong with there methods.. there customer service by mail or phone is second to none!!

Jay

LOTS and LOTS of mail admins use blacklists to stop spam - If JDMs mail servers were added to that black list you may be on others as well - That means that JDM's ISP is using mail servers that are suspected of sending lots of spam - I would call your ISP and ask -

In other words its more than just cliff who is not getting your email -Anyone using insightbb
Founded in 1985, we have grown to become the 9th-largest cable operator in the U.S., with 1.3 million customers in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
is also likly not getting your email - AND anyone else who is using that black list

Cool, thanks for the info Silver2000. This is the only time this has happened. I haven't gotten any messages like this when sending a message to anyone else. If it happens with someone elses email, I would get the same message, no?

Anytime anyone has a problem with JDM, they are always told the same thing, "Call them". You said the same F'in thing. People said the same thing to the person who started this thread. If that's the only way to resolve issues, why use e-mail??? Obviously JDM's website isn't set up to allow someone to order exactly what they want. It sounds like if he wants to continue to be "second to none", he needs to hire some more people!
