Another JDM Rant...
Last edited by tlfwatch; Feb 28, 2006 at 06:15 PM.
My experience with JDM customer service was the best. While I had my truck on the dyno .Jim suggested for me to change a part on my truck . I had the part but not with me . Jim JR said no problem. He drove me back to my house to get what I needed . This was right in the middle of the day . With customers comming and going. Never mind the phones ringing non stop . That was the first time I ever did bussiness with them. IM SOLD!!! JDM

telling me what my problem may be. The early fan kits had a wiring
harness that may have been to small to handle the load. I have always
had problems with the manual switch getting down right hot to the touch.
Later harnesses seem to have been corrected. I understand this harness
is available for $125.00, is that right?
As I stated in the email, all I need was a part number for the two
breakers that are on the fiewall as I am going to replace them and
see if that fixes it. I have already checked the fan (turns fairly freely)
switch out the fuse box breaker, and checked with the AC running and
not running. The high speed side works with teh manual switch as well.
I will email you directly ... That way you will have my email which
hasn't changed in 10 years. Funny that everyone from here can email
me all the time. ?
Thanks,
Cliff

They probably saw your post and figured we had it covered.

Email is a very acceptable way to resolve problems and I have never
had any problems with Stan, Sal, The Chicken Man, Mike (Mad Ferrari)
or even Jegs ... Why can't you see that JUST MAYBE, JDM doesn't
always measure up to the service that YOU seem to get?
I want to first thank everyone for the kind words who posted,
mjg, tlfwatch, Ricki, Wydopen, hostile, and anyone else i missed.
I wrote Struck a nice email just now and asked if he wouldnt mind to have this post locked. It is no longer benifiting anyone here, or anywhere for that matter. Dan emailed us this morning and sometimes, as WE ALL KNOW, things can get mixed up if your not talking to someone directly over the phone. The internet is a huge part of our buisness. We do a tremendous amount of in house work for dyno tuning and installs as well. Unfortunatley I wasnt blessed with the skills and talent my Dad, Shaun, Craig, Joe, Alan, and all our other mechanics have of turning wrenches. However I am very much an enthusiast of this industry and I do put alot of my heart and soul into this. So what that leaves me with here, is basically internet and customer service. When something like this happens I feel like Im doing something wrong. We have 5 full time employees in the office and which 3 of us are answering phones and emails all day long, non stop! No one can say that if they try calling us during 9-5 m-f eastern time that you cant reach us if you try calling at least twice. We have 8 different phone lines here and believe me when I tell you there are times in the day when we really need 80 lines and a operator to take all our calls. I just want EVERYONE to know we do try out hardest, sometimes it may not be good enough for one indivdual, but I sleep at night knowing that we do try our hardest everyday.
This problem has been resolved and its not going to take anyone else with negative coments to progress it along any further.
Struck,
Are you cool with this? I left you my number in that email if you want to chat, I know your west coast time but call when ever Im a late night kind of person.

hey Cliff,
Yea its $125 for the new harness assembly. Here is my Email Sales@teamjdm.com to get in touch with me. The two circuit breakers you asked about are the 30 amp and 40 amp. They are Lawson Ciruit breakers with mounting brackets. The PN# for the 30 amp is 89107 the 40 amp is 89108. The original harness that came in our kits is up to the task at hand. Dont worry about that. The kit is about 4 years old on your truck, the circuit breakers can go out on you especially with some life on them.

...Lightningquick, why cant you just leave well enough alone.. Jim Jr. and Struck are patching things up with the mishap that has happened.. get over it, we can give 2 *****S about you being able to cut a check for $20k... not everyone is as lucky to be in a position that you are in.. lets stop adding fuel to the fire and let this all cool down so Struck can get on with finishing his truck.. and JDM can get everything squared away with him.. as it appears everything will work out just fine..
The original harness that came in our kits is up to the task at hand.
I lost a alternator due to electrical surges caused my the harness getting to hot and melting in several places. Since installing the new harness the fan kit has worked great for the last 3 yrs.

I agree with Jim, close this
So of you should be embarrassed at your responses here.

As for anyone else who doubts JDM's dedication....visit the shop! J3 has driven me to the airport, rental car place more than I can remember, and have always done anything possible to make me and my truck happy!
