MrBBQMan,
According to the track scale, I was running 4760 lbs. last night. After roasting the DR's for a bit before each run, I finally figured out the combo to get 'em good and sticky, even on a cold night like last night.
PFA,
Don't hate to say it, it gives me incentive to try and run w/him (or over him, or whatever, hehe). I'm not through yet, the Black Beast is running these times under full street dress. When the time comes, all the extra weight will be gone and then we'll see what she's really capable of.
WhiteLightninSVTGirl,
I do.
CAF150,
Texas Heatwave may be in the cards for the summer, but I haven't planned out that far yet. I'll be happy to give you an adrenaline milkshake in the Beast.
'00BlackLightning,
I made one pass last night w/o the gas, and when the Chevy next to me found out the bottle was turned off, he was particularly irritated. That run was a 13.97, one of my better runs off the bottle (see above for explanation)

Way to go wyldman... my new hero...
Ever think about a gear change.. wonder what 4.10s would drop your time too?
Christy Ann.. cheating on me already? <grins>
------------------
* 99.5 Black Lightning
* Factory CD Changer
* Class 3 Towing Hitch
* Factory Tonneau Cover
* 8" Bazooka Tubs
* Kenwood 80 watt *2 amp
* 50% Window Tint
* Viper 550 Alarm w/ remort start
* 98 Yamaha Banshee w/ Toomey T5 Chrome pipes often found in the bed..
Injection is nice, but I'd rather be blown. 99 Lightning, the best of both worlds!

SVT2Go,
yes we have thought about a gear change, but not to a 4:10, we were thinking more of a 3:73. Be sides with the 3:55 in it and the 16 inch rims that the DR's are on it is a higher ratio anyways.

Tommy 'Lightning Boy' Shelton (son of the Wyldman)
I get the name Lightning Boy is because when we went to Ennis For the SVT thing I bought a SVT F-150 LIGHTNING jacket and sence it has gotten cold down here I have started to use it and between talking about the truck to my friends and useing the jacket I get the name Lightning Boy.

worth it! Took Mama for a spin tonite, she thinks I'm crazy.Keep up the good work!
1999 RED, Superchip, K&N , Bassani, Downs
Filter Kit (tomorrow). Have fun, Mike.

" green Dakota that has been mentioned here in the past got spanked a little as well. Twice"
---------------------------------------------
Cograts on your mutiple power adder truck beating a naturally aspirated one. I don't know if I would consider a fender lead a "spank", but I guess your definition is a little more generous. I would have hoped you would have been a more gracious winner, but alas I see that is not the case.
Since I know your such a fair guy and all I'm sure you won't mind making the race a little more fair next time. I seem to recall a litle blue bottle going into that truck very,very soon. Your ok with that, right?-power adder vs multiple power adder. The rematch should be an interesting one. Do keep us informed of the outcome

Well congrats. again there Wyldman. It is unfortunate that it took you only 11 pounds of boost, an intercooler and NOS to barley beat my naturally aspirated truck with your 12.85 to my 12.97 (2 power adders). So heres the deal, I will run you anytime, anywhere with my 1 power adder to your 2 power adders then we will see who gets spanked! ps- you may want to up your NOS.
Don't even comment fellow Lightning owners!
Just relax and let Wyldman take care of this!

Run what ya brung! Plain and simple!

Blah, Blah, Blah, Yak, Yak, Yak, Blah, Blah, Blah. Don't you guys ever get tired of the brand wars?
There is always someone faster than what you have, and someone faster then him, and so on, and so on.... When it comes to modifing vehicles, it doesn't matter what brand they are. The fact remains, a stock LS-1 will beat a stock Lightning, a stock Lightning will beat a stock Dakota, a stock first-gen Lightning will beat a stock 454SS (anything could actually
) and so on. Who cares? Nobody keeps thier vehicles stock anymore so it really doesn't matter. If Chuck beat the Dakota guy by only a tenth or two, guess what?-- HE STILL WON!! No excuses. If that Dakota guy rematches Chuck and wins, then Chuck lost. It doesn't matter what it took to get you there, as long as you do it. So Chuck runs two power adders, his truck also weighs 4800lbs, so it needs it. If I strap a jet engine on a dump truck and beat a 600ci Vega by a tenth, I still won! It doesn't matter that I drove a dump truck. These brand wars are really starting to get annoying. NOTHING IS EQUAL!! So therefore, you can't compare a million different cars/trucks like they are equal, simply because the only thing they have in common is that they are considered to be "fast". Besides, if you want to put an end to brand wars, Jason Browns 95 Lightning will be running mid 7s the next time you see it and doing Pro Mod exhibition runs at NHRA events...... Enuff said....
