Oh thank goodness Leann. The one plus of $4.00 gas is that I won't have to see your butt in your signature anymore.

As of yesterday we were at $3.01 for Chevron premium, but you should have seen the line at Costco. Must have been 8 cars deep running eight lines.

Just move next to work/school.. Then walk or bike. Seems to be the best way around all of this.

Well pretty soon it will be cost effective to run race fuel all of the time - then think of the fun everyone will have running around on their race programs

I just love how the politicians don't do jack ***** about us running on razor thin supply side margin of error and then when we have something like a break in the supply chain, they start telling us (Jeb Bush in Fla.) to conserve fuel......turn the thermostat higher, carpool, don't use your vehicle unless you have to. I'd like to see if he's driving a hybrid? I don't suppose they make them in limousine versions yet.

Two weeks ago I called my local VP fuels station to inquire on C16 (for a
friend's turbo Buick) and it was $9.95/gallon. That was before there was any hurricane Katrina or supply line interruptions. I'll bet it's $12.00/gallon now.

a number of very reputable guys at NHTOC have reported mpg improvements with it. RobW drives his truck all across the midwest for work and keeps notorious track of his mileage for work, and i am almost 99% sure he posted up he saw nearly 2 mpg improvement with the EM kit and the same driving habits as before. most other members who did it posted up they got around 1 mpg improvement.

believe me i thought i would be a BS mod as well, but the results show differently. as RobW always post up when this topic arises at NHTOC...we're dealing with "ELECTRONIC fuel injection" and the easier the flow of electrons and electricity with the least amount of resistance, the better the results in the end.
and for around 100 bucks, even if you only get 1/2 mpg better, its still worth it in a short amount of time.

anyway, yeah doing mods to save mpg dont really make sense on a lightning or harley truck, but most of the ones i suggested up in my 1st post also are hp mods as well...so its the perfect excuse to tell the wifey that you are trying to get better mileage, when your real motive can still be to get more hp for the track
