Rob,
I still think since you're continually burning up #1 plug that its gotta be the injectors. svtjay was suggesting to try moving that injector to another cylinder and see if it follows it. Or, figure out how to bite the bullet and get the 60#'ers in there already. If you can change plugs, you can install em yourself and then get the tune changed.

Now about the combustion temps. Get the snow perf. kit!
A 50/50 mix of methanol and water will give you the best air charge cooling, detonation control, and control of cylinder temperature.

I'd certainly get a cheaper plug as well until you figure things out.

Speaking of combustion temps....#1 chamber on the right side cylinder head is the last place the coolant sees before it exits the motor. In other words combustion chambers #1 and #5 are the last to be cooled in the loop.

VERY INTERESTING FACTS DALE, THANKS
Agreed Air Troop, Sal is getting me injectors as we speak and strongly feels this will take care of my issues. He also assures me these are the same inserts he has, so I'm feeling a little better about the situation now,
and pray this nightmare will soon be behind me.

BUT MAN OH MAN DOES IT SUCK DRIVING IT AROUND AND NOT GOING WOT

Just spoke to my engine builder about Rob's plug inserts. They are heat treated aluminum, NOT steel.

I think I heard you stop by. I had the van and the 05 pulled in the shop and had all the doors locked because I was trying to get some work done in the office.
