Red92 - judges dont hold cops in contempt for writting a ticket they believed to be true at the time of the violation wether the person is innocent or not. In fact - you really have to go pretty far to be held in contempt these days. This isnt hollywood!

Not picking on you here, but this stragedy does not seem the best course of action.
And he should have been more cautious. If you know it's wet, don't hit the go pedal as hard.
See above. A wet corner should be even more of flag to not hit the go pedal as hard.
Maybe true, none of us know the true extent to his fishtailing, it may have been a little or he may have started to get sideways before letting off and regaining control. Regardless he still broke the law.

If the blower whine was louder then tire peel he was obviously accelerating to fast for a wet corner.
He had some fun and got caught, IMO the penalty is on the severe side though. Get a lawyer and let them deal with everything.
