I've helped Andy do alot of work on his truck, and let me say there was very few things that Tommy@ OP did right. As soon as Andy gets the engine tore down, I'm sure he will post a full report of all the problems.

Best of luck with the new engine.

Clint, We have discussed your hesitation when you hit the throttle over and over again and again, Like i said before your over a 1000 miles away from my shop, youve had me along with other people tuning your truck, you had someone else do the work on it.. Your hesitation in the throttle has nothing to do with a BAD JLP motor!.. Like i said before, you have a vacum leak, fuel delivery problem,ect..I told you its hard for me (across the country) to properly diag. your tip in throttle problem with out me personally data logging, diag. ect. your truck here at the shop.We have sold now over 460 engines! we turn out almost 2 trucks a week out of the shop,I have had some be more finiky than others with heads, cams ect. but we have been able to tune them in perfectly 100% of the time!. Thats why i told you to get the truck to me and we'll see what the problem is.and see if we can get this tip in issue fixed. But when we just ship the engine out to customers, its hard to tell what is going on. we have had several trucks shipped to us after the customer had someone else install the engine and couldn't get it to run properly. you'll be surprised of some of the things we found. But once we got finished with it,they picked their truck up running 100%..And were very happy!,This is 1 of the reasons we @ JLP perfer customers to have thier trucks shipped to us so we can properly install, diag. dyno tune. We have our own transporter to helpWe always have their truck 100% Turn key for them!. I know this is very frustrating for you,and it would be for me too! But i need your truck here @ the shop to see why your having this problem...like i told you before i Know i'll get it fixed if its here @ the Shop....JL

Amen, brutha.

Andy's a great person - shame that Tommy took advantage of that, and never made things right with him.

This is why you'll be getting my truck as soon as I return stateside next year! BTW, how far are you from Williamsport? My brother just moved there. It may be worth it to drive there during the LL World Series instead of shipping it.

What is Tommy's stand on this? I dont see a reply from him. What is he telling the owner of the truck?

I would like to think he would try and make it right...

Did he do the install of the motor or just build it?

I did do the install.

My stand on this is I know nothing about the problem. He had a rear main seal leak that I paid someone local to him to change for almost $700. It then started to leak again and he wanted me to pay for it to be repaired again. I would say it is on the shop that replaced it. He also had a problem with a heat issue and we replaced the fan with one of mine. That is the last I have heard about the truck. Mind you this truck has been tuned by others and was built back in April of 2004.

BTW: Matt's (in MO) is a high compression motor that he chose when specd out and had someone else tune it. After he first put it together he told me how quiet the motor was until a few weeks later. It had a piston slap noise. This is also the last I heard about this truck. From the video he sent me I believe the tuner ran too agressive or lean and shrunk the pistons. I would like to hear any problems found that were fault of mine as they are saying.

My email is Tommylightning@outrageousperf.com

Scott, Matt talked highly of you so if you want to fill me in or discuss anything get in contact with me.

Tommy,
You haven't heard from because I haven't chose to call or talk to you. You wanna call me out and say I am having problems cause of my tuner your stepping over the line.

I would suggest NOT Bringing my name up on your posts again, less you just want another one cheering against you.

Yes the motor was quiet and then developed piston slap.(edit) (Actually the more i think about it, I am not a 'motor head' i had never heard piston slap before) And I sent you links. You agreed it has piston slap. I feel that the piston slap is not bad enough to be concerned about, or you would of heard from me.

But don't you say I chose some combo I shouldn't have and my tuner messed it up..My choice was only made because I was presented choices by you.

Soon enough I will post the issue's the motor has had from day one. But not now this is Andy's post. But the timeline and things I have done would make most grown men cry if they had to go through this.

To my tuner..I know its not you bro!! To everyone else. I am getting along fine. The truck runs good. It just cant make a pass through all 3 gears without something happening. When its paid off, shortly..WATCH OUT!! I will do something big!!

More f#@!*&% lies. Would you like me to post up all of the paperwork I have Tommy? The seal in not the problem, it's severely scratch up crank you installed puls all of the other $**** I keep finding. Don't play dumb. Also, but bring my tuner into this.
