I think it's amazing, and I laugh while I'm posting this stuff that people can get SO bent out of shape that I don't agree with Johnny and worship his truck like so many others.
It's all good on my end. If I ever met Johnny in person I would shake his hand and then give him twice as much **** as I do on here, LOL.

HI!... What you guys also must remember is that PARISH (JIM) is running bone stock cylinder heads. Soon he will be upgrading to a T-88 turbo and full race heads, that and shaving say 400lbs off the truck and running slicks on all 4 wheels will net him a 9 second pass. Plus he is only running 16PSI!!!!! Turn the wick up to say 20-22PSI and say a 150H.P shot of nitrous and JL will have serios competition. These days, TURBO (s) is the WAY to go.

3. I don't worship Parish either, because there are still faster AWD vehicles that are streetable out there. Is his truck impressive? Sure it is. WHEN he swaps them for something that flows mega-ginormous more amounts than the stockers, then come in here trying to more or less show how cool a "stock" cylinder headed truck is soooo fast. JLP has a faster truck than Parish. It is a trailer Queen.
Parish has a fast street truck (if he runs that on 93 octane)
There are still faster trucks than Parish on the street

If I remember correctly, Johnny had the record for the worlds fastest (or quickest whatever it is) GEN2 LIGHTNING. Not the worlds fastest truck. So even if this new guy, whatever his name is, nets a quicker time, guess what Johnny will still be the worlds quickest GEN2 LIGHTNING!!!!
IMO this new guy can run 6's or 5's or whatever all he wants, but Johnny will still be the worlds quickest GEN2 LIGHTNING, unless another lightning brother (or sister) steps up to the plate.

Johnny Lightning has Really steped Up to the Plate this year trying to build the World's Fastest Lightning. I'm happy that he did this to compete with some of the Fastest Gen 1's in the country. Some of you guys may Not know this because you Don't Race your Trucks Or go out of State to race in the WFC or Lightningfest but Johnny is Trying to Beat Everyone.
I also would like to add that when you want to Go Real Fast like 8's & 7's your Not going to be street Legal Anymore. Especialy in a full size pickup truck. The other thing I would like to add is that you Guys always talk *****t about Trucks that are NOT AT FULL WEIGHT!! That's fine you guys Stay at full weight & continue to get smoked. Good Job Johnny!!
