thanks for the post man. I've watched your videos countless times and my friends are amazed at how quick your truck is. Keep up the great work. I don't have a problem with you at all man. Waveblaster likes to argue about 30 dollar mods on a 30k truck while I'm sure you've sunk almost that much into a normal pickup truck. What's next Wave, wanna comment on the 5 dollar chrome tire valve caps? Haha, maybe we should have solid platinum ones, to go with what seems to be your "spend as much as you can" mentality.

I was just wondering how old wave is? Judging by his posts i'm guessing 18 to 23, one day you will grow up and not think it's so fun to try to get people to argue and down there trucks.I know how you love parish's truck but thats his truck,what about your truck? I don't hear you saying what you can do, all you are saying is what parish can do. You seem like a pretty nice guy parish, congrats on building a bad azz truck. I think it's great to see a truck whoop up on cars no matter if it's a Ford or Chevy. And sierra what Lightnings have you crushed? With just your few posts I can tell your going to be a real asset around here. Before you guys talk trash about other people's trucks lets see that bad sierra and waves truck, I'll bet there something.

 

I'm 25. I hold a steady job, and I enjoy long walks on the beach, my favorite color is blue and I think you have a purdy mouf.

Anyways....Wouldn't be so quick to call out Sierra's truck either, you may bite off more than you can chew there.

As for my lightning, it's slow.

My best thus far at 5100 lbs is 12.3 with a 1.79 on F1's. I recently added a few things and have been trying to get into the 11s on street tire at FULL WEIGHT, plus my stereo and whatever else, which is why I can respect parish's truck so much.

I realize I went off a bit, but when I went through the first couple pages and saw people laugh about how that chevy had nothing for johnny it blows my mind because I think in the big picture he already has him beat. So then it snowballed, and if you know me at all you know I won't back down.

Parish has a baaad street truck, no doubt. The four wheel drive and turbo is what makes the street tire launches possible; unfortunately NHRA and most other sactioned events DO NOT permit 4 wheel drive in modded classes,not to mention other safety requirements.

With port and valve limitations of two valve mod motors, two valve Gen II trucks will not be the fastest competitor in open classes, that is why Gen I's are faster when fully modded. However, the 4 valve motors are beginning to get competitive in open pounds per cu in classes.

Gen II L's are great because it takes so few mods to make them go faster than so many cars and trucks. They allow owners without real deep pockets to go very fast in a very streetable truck. This has earned them a large and extremely loyal following and a success story that Chevy and especially Dodge have aspired, but not reached.

Again Parrish has done a great job, even greater since he had to do more to get there. His post on this board was also respectful, something that cannot be said for all. He is a bit faster than me, but do aspire to getting close to his present numbers in my L and a lot faster in my car.
