So by saying 15 failed blowers on this board makes them bad then I guess Lightnings themselves suck too, since there are way more blown up trucks on here from misuse. Don't get me wrong, I want the whipple to get here. the more options the better. I just dont' think all these two week comments are right. Don't say anything til you have a tracking # of your supposed missing compressors.
Two things about that, why buy a blower they don't want spun about , what, about 15psi?? That's pretty low for a high performance blower. I'm just saying that the KB doesn't seem very reliable, thats MY opinion and why I PERSONALLY don't own one.

And as I stated before, when is the last time a STOCK lightning blew up?? I certainly didn't complain when I killed mine. It was my fault.

No complaints on my KB, it killed my stock block, but still running strong after +20K miles.

Not really something I'd be proud of if I was KB or any company for that matter.

Comebacks are something dealt w/ in all aspects of the auto industry. Some companies are more apt to talk about it and have excellent records w/ satisfying warranty claims, such as KB.

Here we go again with the BS about KB. What is it with you people? Kenne Bell has been the only after market blower available for the Lightning for quite a long time.

Magnum is more of a fancy port job...and the works...LOL..well...that is all I need to say about works. Maybe what??? 10 Works blowers out there total...LMAO.

No Gawd d@mned wonder you hear of more KB failures than the others...THER AREN'T ANY OTHERS.

And as far as Whipple goes..I will believe it when I see it. Nothing personal Tim...but you have ZERO control over the production of Whipple SC's. People may still be waiting in 5 fricking years.

Seven of the Ten Works 140's are in California. None with failures, one with over 50k.

......keep'in it in California, cuz you don't need it in the real world.

The point still remains the same...Mr. California. 10 Works. Hundreds of KB's.

I thought they educated you CA folks....LMAO.

Maybe the best way to gauge the reputation of KB or Whipple is to go to other boards where they have both been used on vehicles for years.

I am not going to let you polute the point. The fricking point is that there are far more KB's in use on Lightnings than any other after market blower. It is a simple numbers issue. The more you make....the higher the chance for a problem.

I guess if Whipple never puts out their 2.3, they will have a perfect product...never a failure.

I am not saying what fricking blower is better than what.

What it does say is that just as you have far more KB trucks in the tens than ANY other blower...you will also hear of more KB issues.

Well this is what I want to do, but for some reason Whipple will not sell me a top entry 2.3 supercharger.

Blower

Upper Plenum

So if Whipple wants me as a customer they can sell me the blower I want. If they won't sell me what I want I will go with Crash's turbo setup.

It is up to Whipple at this point
