It is supposedly some kind of supply/demand issue with Lysolm. Can someone confirm this....it came up yesterday in a conversation I was having with a bud from the North-East(blue part of the country ).

I suppose the info does nothing to put a whipple on anyone's truck, but it helps to know why.

I am wanting the 3.3, but I think this is even more of a ghost than the 2.3........

Worry not my friends, the Whipple production faculity in North Korea has been working day and night to grind off the name plating and polishing the KB's to a mirror finish. They should be ready to ship in volume soon.

Well, also take into concideration, that they have totally dis'd the Lightning community to take care of every other market, Cobra's and chebys. I know that is smart from a $$ perspective, as we are a tiny market. But we have also been around since 1999. Whats going to happen come customer service time when one of use "niche market" guys has problems?

MP all the way baby!

FEB is not that bad when I think back about the V6 camaro community members that dropped 3 grand a peice and waited over a year to get their turbocharger kits..

I think it was between 15-20 members compalining and threatening legal action for the longest time.

BTW the 3.8 camaro/firebird guys are finally putting out nice numbers, one chick is in the 11's, a bunch of ppl in the 12's, and several more in the 13's.

Whip

They haven't dissed anyone. When we talked to Art Whipple two years ago at SEMA and got him interested in the Cobra, they had just begun to barely take a look at Fords. They have been into GM and Boats for so long they just didn't know how large the Ford market could be.

Now that they've started to get into the Fords, their supplier (Lyscholm) has had a strangle hold on production. Whipple got WAY behind in all of their shipments and just have not recouped yet.

The Lightning Whipple supercharger WILL be out soon, and by the amount of orders we've taken, there will be ALOT of happy smiles SOON.

Luckily you'll still be able to identify the KB's from the real whipples. They go CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK, LOCK!!.

Thats good info, however I'll believe it when I see a whipple truck. I'm happy with the direction I went.
