Jim: If Sal agrees to the event, lets just have it anyway and invite all Lightning tuners. However shows, shows....Any tuner that can't make an event like this thats not during racing season with 4 months notice must have some different motive not to make the race!!!

Sounds to me like you're still trying to pat yourself on the back for your less-than-incredible feat of driving 1,000 miles to run TWO 10 second passes.
Less than incredible?? I've never driven my truck on a 1k mile trip nor have I run 1 10 second pass..........never mind two.
I think that feat may deserve more recognition than your willing to give, probably cause your jealous. Hell, I am jealous and i'll admit it.

What happened to the 5 trucks from each tuner and drive 50 miles or so and then race. JL wants to bring his "race only" truck. What about the 5 customer daily driver trucks, this is more what 99.9% of the lightning enthusiast is interested in. Lets see these trucks run like they run the mustangs at ffw where they have to go drive them and then race them.
I think we should have a vote as to what we the lightning community really want to see.
I for one would like to see every tuner bring his 5 best and drive them for 50 miles on the street and then race!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it should be the end of february or wait till march and have it in orlando in conjuction with FFW.
PS I like the orlando beacuse I would only have to drive 90 miles to see it.

a real street truck that has a chance to beat a "full race"
truck should be given a chance...(not held off long enough to ensure a loss to a "full race chassis" truck)

There is no way everyone is going to agree upon a common set of rules/guidelines.
You have 2 different ideals:
--People going for all out performance at any and all costs
--People going for fast daily drivers
So I say best of luck to Jim for trying to setup this race up..........I simply don't see it happening.

I made my point about what I thought about him, his truck and his business. Great guy, fast RACE truck, good business, but I've seen him screw up more than one truck and flush many of my friend's hard earned dollars down the drain ( and still not run the numbers that SOME of his other trucks run and what MANY of the JDM trucks run )
TWO 10 second passes??? My truck will run 10 second passes ALL DAY LONG w/o nitrous...
