I have something to say about all this
Screw Lfest run it when the rest of us that actually want to race can go to it. In Feb we can all go and watch the fun. Have it anyplace and bring what you got and hope it's enough and if you blow it up... so be it you loose... Who needs rules... run it heads up first to the finish wins, this ain't bracket racing bozo's. No one pass wonders if you can't make all 5 passes in one day you loose. I hate going to the east coast but I would to watch this crap go down .
Hey,
JJ is over on Modular Fords crying his eyes out about he's not going to a JDM event at Englishtown, even if he is invited. He probably never will be invited, he's begging for attention.
Bracket racing sucks....Heads up, the only real racing...
Of course JJ is kissing JL's butt, He wants it at L Fest, also. What's wrong with Feb and L Fest.

Hey John,Hows things going down there? Well I have time to post since my L is at the shop getting fixed. I hope its done soon, Im getting withdrawal over here
OK, here is my .02$
First off, it should be a "run what you brung" shootout. Just like someone else said "each has their own way of going fast". I don't think that anyone should be penalized for having a 4 link, or having a twin turbo, or having a stroked w/ Whipple.
Now for some guidlines, I do agree the idea of the trucks at least being roadworthy. There should be a 50-100 mile cruise for all of the competing trucks (and it would be fun for the spectators to join in on the cruise also). After the cruise, slap some slicks on em and let em eat. No opening of the hood after the cruise also, if the trucks need retuned after the cruise, I am sure any of the tuners have multi burn chips for just that reason.
Next, the scoring, each driver (in his own truck) gets a shakedown pass to get a feel for the track, (tire pressures can be adjusted). The shakedown pass does NOT count towards the score of the passes, to keep any "one run wonders" out of the mix. Then, each of the trucks make three passes, throw out the slowest et, and average out the best two passes. That way there will be atleast some semblance to a daily driver.
I am sorry this is so long, but this is my advice on how to do this thing.
PS, I have no affiliation to any of the tuners, I am completely unbiased on this competition. I really hope this does go down, if it does, you can bet your turdcutter that I will be there to watch these badboys throwdown.

race
when u pull up to someone at the track u don't know what they have, turbo, s/c, stroker, bb, sb, u know NOTHING (not even how much they weigh) y should this be ne different. RUN WHAT U BRUNG, its how drag races go....
weight
not to sound like a JLP cheerleader b/c i have maybe two parts from him, most of my stuff is jdm (engine, etc.) but WHY IS EVERYBODY STUCK ON WEIGHT, more power to u if u can make ur truck lighter, that is part of drag racing, this isn't a circle track race
