I have read most of these threads on the grudge match and I just have to say that it sounds like it's going to be a great time, regardless of where or when it is held.

I think for the most part we all like to get together and race our trucks, I think the best part is that we can all hang together regardless of who tuned our trucks.

As you may know I am a dyed in the wool JDM customer, Jim has a heart of gold and always goes out of his way to help people out at any event he attends REGARDLESS of who may have tuned their truck or where that person buys parts from.
Jim is a man that really truely enjoys racing and getting the most out of a peice of machinery. He so often shows his appreciation to his customers and friends for making this sport what it is...a true Ford racing community that welcomes all enthusiasts!!

With that said, I must say I am also very impressed with Sal's class in reponding to not only this "challenge" but to these posts.

Hat's off to you Sal, I have only met you once, but I look forward to seeing you again. We need more people like you not only here but at these events!

Johnny, I know you are a good man and a generous one ( who made a nice donation to a charity I once held ), and I truely respect your ability to go fast. However, if I could make a suggestion...I think your posts are showing a different side to you, one that is not helping your image at all.
I would like to see you attend more events and mingle with "the community" and not try to be #1 all the time...It just gives you that "I'm better than you" attitude that turns most people off...

I for one will still like you when you're #2 or #3 for that matter...

Peace, Jamie
WOW, I think that was the best post I've read since I got back from Jersey. way to go Jamie!!!

I would make posts like that, but I'm too much of an AZZHOLE!!!

So that's my view on it. That's why I say make the trucks equal weight and then see who's got the best ability to get it down the track fastest. Otherwise it's not a comparison, it's an exhibition.

Sal, I like that idea, but how many would race at my weight???? Not many if any.........I have been trying to think of ways to come down in weight, but I said to hell with it........I like this truck just the way it is.........So if they equal the playing field .....Life is good for me.

When its race time, Im going to hire all the hooters girls from woodlake place to hide in the back of your truck under the bed cover... this way, we all have a chance LOL... I figure another 500 lbs will slow you down a little

I think that is a Great Idea for You Guys to Race One Another & See Who has the Fastest Gen 2. If Gen 1's were Invited I'd have to be On Johnny & Charlie's Team. I Got a Set of Injectors from JLP Before. I have 2 Friends in Oklahoma that would like to Race for JLP Also....

So is this thing put together with the Navigator Intech heads or are they the '03 and up DOHC Cobra heads? Also, did you use the Reichard racing spacers to mate a 4.6L intake to the DOHC heads on a 5.4L or did you find someone to fab up a proper intake? And did Kook's fab up a new set of headers with flanges and tubing to match the more oblong exhaust ports on the DOHC heads? Any pictures of this bad boy in all its glory?

My bad I had a typo the actual horsepower is 1010 not 1110.

The heads are actually a set of 2000 Cobra R heads, the intake manifold I had hand built in Pennslyvania at O'Neils Fabrication. Headers are done by Kooks that we been selling for almost 2 years now Lightning 4V.

I started this post so that JL, Sal, and Myself could hang out together for 1 day with our customers, and have some fun like we did before we got so busy. Some of the posts I've read in here I feel have gone a little too far. I dont believe at all that JL is afraid of the competition, there could be many reasons why he doesnt want to participate and thats cool. We are going to have the day anyways it will be all of JDM's fast customers as long as there is proper safety equipment and all of Sal, Johnny, REM's customers and self tuned trucks. The reason for the change and the rules since we wont have a big three get together we might as well make it for everybody. "NO JJ!"

I have been thinking for the last couple of days for the location.

These are possibles:

Englishtown
Norwalk, OH
Cecil

These are tracks that I could get let me know what you think! I have to make a commitment in the next couple of days.

Top Alcohol Funny Car- 2250 lbs
Pro Stock- 2350 lbs
Funny Car- 2375 lbs
Top Fuel Dragster- 2175 lbs

So I think there should be a minumum weight that they must run.

In my opinion if one truck is much lighter and has to add weight, it will be an advantage to him. Since he can put the extra weight anywhere he wants(like over the rear axle) he would have a traction advantage off the line.
My .02,
Since no rules or requirements have been written for our trucks, the venders should collaborate and write them. Weight minimums, how many power adders, maximum slick size , 4 link or ladder bar suspensions etc etc. Those with unaltered stock suspensions could even be given a weight break to level the playing field. As far as the Top Dog grudge racing. It should be called the Outlaw class with a "run what you brung" theme. All heads up of course.

Thumbs up Track of Choice

Hey Jim, my vote is for Cecil. I guess E-town would be OK, but I think everyone knows how good Cecil usually hooks up. An alternative track could be Atco, they do quite a few private track rentals. Any track would be great, please make it happen. I'm sure we could all get along once we get to the track.

I vote E-town...... it'll be just like JDM day. How many Lightnings showed up that day 50-60 trucks. Thats a good turn out, and not all of them were JDM customers.
