My 03 DSG, had one problem. The passenger front shock was loose, causing a clunk noise over bumps. They (dealer) tightened it up, and now I have no problems in over 15,000 miles. Born on 12/13/02, I bought it on 12/21/03.

One thing I'll say, make sure you change your fuel filter often. My L lost it's punch at 10,000 miles, at 13,000, I change it, and now she is back!!!

I've got just over 15,000 miles on my '03 and have had only 1 problem. About 4,000 miles after I got it the EGT sensor shorted out. One 30 minute visit at the dealership and it was replaced. Definately nothing to complain about. In general it is definately a great vehicle. The only things I wish it had are a Mach 460/1000 and Manley rods like the Cobra has. Oh well... maybe in the gen 3

-Still a unexplaned viberation at high speeds

Current odometer reading at this second. 9,067.3 Km' s 3 months old, a total of 42 days total in repairs.

My boy hired a firm in Covina (SoCal) with a team of attorneys that specializes in recalls, Lemon law, etc. He was having probs with his 8.1L V10 Chevy. Even after putting 55K miles on the "bad" truck, his team of lawyers got Chevy to pay him every penny he ORIGINALLY PAID for the truck PLUS all attorney fees.

This firm is known nationwide for getting results when consumers are having warranty problems. They're kryptonite to dealers/manufacturers!

My 2003 has only about 4 months and 2000 miles under it's belt and it's done fair. The front end needed alighnment which Ford took care of. I found a wet passenger side carpet under the mats a month ago which seems to be from the A/C. I haven't taken it in for this yet since I can't get it to repeat in the cold weather. Other than the typical small trash in the paint flaws that I think are probably best left alone - no other problems.

I purchased my 03 in May. I have 17,000 + miles and have only had two issues. The first is one of the same ones that bluelightning is experiencing. The only way I can describe it is when I go over a bump, it's almost like the cab or the bed is just loose enough that it seperates from the frame for a split second.

I have searched like crazy but just can't find the problem. The other problem I had was the intercooler wasn't working from the time I drove it off of the lot.

These are the only two issues that I have had in 17,000 + miles. IMHO not to shabby for a truck that runs 13.56 in the 1/4 mile and will run 140 mph!

My opinion is buy it if ya want it! Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

I bought my white 03L July 25th, it has 1700 miles on it as of now!

The only prob i have had, was the AC, had to go to the dealer twice to get it fixed. Other than that, the truck has been great!

I will get it on a hoist and take a pic. I haven't posted pics because they were to high resolution I found out.

The clunking is the muffler slapping the floor, look under the passenger side, grad the exhaust system and shake the hell out of it and you will see were it hits. Fords service bulliton says bash the cab floor in. Unbelieveable? Yes.

Like I say I will get the cam and post a pic later or send a friend or my brother or someone under the truck to take a pic.

Later
