Im a little worried about this not having a rollbar crap. I will be running my cobra on the 8th with a blower pulley the size of a lug nut. I plan on atleast getting my 10 second pass. As long as Vinnie isnt there I think im going to be ok, being that anytime I have taken my car to the track when he is there it spends the day on the trailer . But after reading all of this I think that Nov 8th is going to be a very interesting day.

BLUELIGHTNING YOU COMMIN?

I wouldn't worry about it buddy. It is a track rental, they tend to let a lot of stuff slide at rentals. So unless certain people act like little girls and complain no one should have a problem. Hell, I made a 11.53 pass at Fords at Englishtown and didn't have a word said to me, and this was a big event. This will probably be my trucks last outing in its current form. So I hope it all goes smooth. After the 8th it is going in for a motor and very likely roll bar. I hope to see ya down there, make sure you say "hey." -Mat-

I dont want this to be thought of as a flame, I know JDM has awesome tuning abilities therefore having quite a few Lightnings in the 10s but I want to say something that even Dons Bolt probally wants too but wont.I curious why one of the original JDM tuned trucks has yet to get into the 10s.Dons truck has got just as much or more $$$ and tuning time into it as many truck that have already reached that goal. Why hasnt Don ran a 10 yet??He goes to many events,Jim even drives it,Ive only heard excuses but I wonder with so many others already hitting the goal with half the tuning time ,what is holding his specific truck back?? The poor guy deserves that 10 and you would think with the $$ invested to JDM,Maybe someone would take the time to make sure that truck hits its goal.

This is a statement from Don:

And as whip said, a 10 second run isn't my top priority. Of course I would love to get into the 10's. The main thing I want is a fun and fast truck. With the tune I have on it right now I am very happy with the truck, and I am sure the 10 second pass will come when I am not even really trying

When it's time, it's time...

HP, tuning, and performance are all about numbers and so is balancing checkbooks. If we all could only be so fortunate.

By little girls, do you mean people that wish to ensure the safety of the racers and others there at the track? Remember, this is not a Lightning track rental. We were cordially invited by another club, a Mustang club. If we go in there and start seeing what we can and cannot get away with, they may no longer invite us in the future, because it looks bad on them. Then it becomes a case of one bad apple ruining the bunch. Whatever they say goes, and we go along with it.

No way. Are you serious>??? I thought it was an event put on by F150online. What was I thinking. Ensure the saftey of others at the track>??? Who I am gonna hurt besides myself if I am not running a cage>??? Nobody. I got my spot thru the website not from anyone else for what it is worth. Last year there were quite a few vehicles running in the 11's without the required equipment. Sounds like quite a few bad apples, not one pal. Don't be upset man. Everthing is gonna be alright. If I get told to put it away or slow down, I will do just that. Or like I said, I will just make 1/8th mile passes all day. BTW, I love you. -Mat-

Oh yeah, so if I bring my Mustang, since it is a Mustang club and all, would it be ok if I break the rules>???

With all this online talk I could only assume that the event organizers for the SSOTN are probally debating on allowing Lightnings to attend the event at all.

Later...

If they say Safety's First, and decide to have strict tech for this go-around, then we as guests are obliged to follow. I like my SSOTN friends, and my Lightning friends, and I'd hate to see the growing cooperation between the two groups be tarnished. Maybe I'm just an old prude that believes in following rules and being safe over being fast.

Bruce: Not sure on the caravan. If anyone would like, they can caravan the back roads with me. I don't take 95, Bel Air to Rt 1 up to 222 to 276 to Theodore. Nice curvy roads, beautiful landscape, and you bypass the $4 toll. If anyone wants to ride up with me, to get there at 8AM, let me know

F150Online has never to my knowledge put on a drag race event.
